"They had just got back from NYC and decided to do a day trip to Montecito. Kourtney thought it was going to be a casual day, as they always go to Rosewood, and she was totally thrown off," a source told E! News of the surprise engagement. Cameras were reportedly rolling on the big event for the Kardashian family's new reality television show with Hulu, per Us Weekly. In addition, members of Kardashian's family were also in attendance. "They were all in on it and surprised them afterward inside the hotel. They are all celebrating in the restaurant and have a private area," a source dished.
After the engagement, sources told E! News that Kardashian and Barker are ready for the commitment and are already talking about wedding plans. "This is a huge deal for her. They want to do the whole big traditional wedding ceremony and everything, and have already talked about it," the source told the outlet. Now, new sources are revealing the possible timeline for the happy couple's nuptials.

The couple is said to want a short engagement and are looking to get married sometime in 2022. This will be the first time that Kardashian is set to tie the knot and she reportedly wants it to be "a day to remember," per the insider. "It'll be a no expense spared, and she's planning to go all out. She wants the amazing dress, a huge cake, thousands of flowers and will hire the best caters in town," sources revealed. Insiders also told the outlet that fans may get an inside look into the wedding planning process thanks to the Kardashians' new Hulu series. "The cameras will be rolling for the Kardashians' new Hulu series but certain aspects will be kept private," the source shared.
Meanwhile, Kardashian's ex-boyfriend, Scott Disick, whom she shares three children with, likely won't be invited to the nuptials. The couple are said to have a no exes rule for the ceremony. However, insiders reveal that Disick "wouldn't go even if he was invited" as it would be too hard for him to watch. "Seeing Kourtney walk down the aisle would feel like a dagger in the heart ... He'd rather not be there," the source stated.
Meanwhile, a baby could also be in the cards for the pair, who are said to want to extend their family in the future.
