Here's What Kate And William Are Really Like When The Cameras Aren't On

Prince William and Kate Middleton appear to be the perfect royal couple. Fans have been obsessed with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge for years, and back in April when they celebrated their tenth anniversary, it was no different. The royals honored the milestone event by sharing some very sweet and intimate photos of themselves to mark the occasion, per Marie Claire. In the photographs, Kate wore a flowing blue gown while William posed in a collared shirt with a blue sweater over top. The Cambridges looked happy Kate rested her head on William's shoulder and the two wore bright smiles on their faces. In another snap, the pair snuggled up together and held hands as William looked lovingly at his wife.

In addition, the pair also shared an adorable video of themselves with their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis (via Express). Once fans watched the video, there was an outpouring of love and support for the Cambridge family. "Thank you to everyone for the kind messages on our wedding anniversary. We are enormously grateful for the 10 years of support we have received in our lives as a family," William and Kate captioned the video.

Now, the photographer who was lucky enough to be invited to capture the sweet moments between the Cambridges is opening up about what William and Kate were really like when the cameras stopped rolling and they were engaged in their real lives.

William and Kate are like other normal married couples

Prince William and Kate Middleton celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary back in April, and photographer Chris Floyd was there to capture some heartfelt moments between the royals. The photographer is now spilling some behind-the-scenes details about how the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge acted when the cameras weren't pointed at them, per Us Weekly. "I would say that they were just like any married couples. They were just like any married couple who seemed to just love being very happy in each other's company. It was that straightforward," Floyd stated. "I just said, 'Look, this is your 10th anniversary, just be the couple that you are with each other and forget that I'm here. And just forget about me,'" he added.

Floyd also admitted that William and Kate were very welcoming and that he left the shoot feeling like he gained some new friends. "It was their home and I was made to feel welcome in their home ... I have to say like by the time I left that day I felt like I'd known them for years. It was just a real whirlwind of a day," he admitted. "The day itself was kind of just like a normal shoot day. I mean it's not like anyone else's house, but it was the same as going to someone else's house. It was just a slightly grander version of most houses," he added.

Of course, that wasn't the first time that a photographer gushed over the Cambridges.

The Cambridges shine together, says photographer

In October 2021, Prince William and Kate Middleton captured attention when they attended the Earthshot Prize event. The couple were captivating together, and certainly caught the eye of photographer Chris Jackson. During the awards ceremony, Jackson admitted that it was easy to see Kate's pride for all of William's hard work on issues such as climate control. "The Duchess obviously felt really proud of what [Prince William] had achieved with seeing first-hand this realization of this huge amount of work for him. It was a really special evening," the photographer told People at the time.

Jackson went on to gush over the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, revealing that he believes they are the perfect pair to bring awareness to pressing global issues. "These two have an incredible ability to shine a spotlight on global issues — and to work on this and make it happen has clearly been a big thing for [the Duke]," Jackson said of the royals. "[William and Kate] are proud of each other and are a strong team," he added.

It seems that William and Kate are truly united in many ways, such as through their family and in the issues that they are passionate about. This likely gives them a great foundation to work from when they eventually become the king and queen and are met with more responsibility and a heavier work load. For now, it seems that the Cambridges really are the definition of royalty and appear to just as wonderful off camera as they appear to be on camera.
