Hayley Orrantia Teases Erica's Upcoming Wedding On The Goldbergs - Exclusive
Fans of "The Goldbergs" got to experience a very special moment back in Season 8 — Erica and Geoff's oceanside engagement. Ever since, we've been able to be a part of the bridal shower and even got a few glimpses of potential wedding dresses (in true '80s fashion, of course). Yet, as we await Erica and Geoff's wedding, it has us all wondering one thing: Will we be able to see the two of them tie the knot anytime soon? "You will," actor Hayley Orrantia, who plays Erica Goldberg on the show, told The List during an exclusive interview. "We actually just shot part of it."
Orrantia was also able to confirm that her character's wedding will indeed be a part of Season 9. We can barely contain our excitement, and neither can she. "I'm really stoked for people to see it," she said. She also told us a little bit of what we can expect from the big day.
There will be some unexpected surprises at Erica and Geoff's wedding
Anybody who's been married knows that the event is truly a family affair. This is definitely no different for the Goldbergs. When it comes to Erica and Geoff's nuptials, Hayley Orrantia told us her character's mom on the show, Beverly Goldberg, played by Wendi McLendon-Covey, is up to her usual "smothering." "Of course, it's the typical Beverly Goldberg — envisioning how she sees it rather than how everyone else sees it. That's the big conflict of the episode."
However, Beverly's meddling into the big day is not the only thing we'll be able to see during Season 9. "There are elements that I don't think anyone will see coming," Orrantia teased, which now has us anxiously counting down the days until Erica and Geoff say their "I dos."
