Inside Bob Saget's Relationship With Candace Cameron Bure

Bob Saget wasn't just America's Dad, he was also a beloved father-like figure to his "Full House" daughters Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin, and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. Saget's sudden death on Jan. 9, 2022 at the age of 65 left fans reeling, and of course, his former co-stars were shocked by the news of his passing (via Entertainment Weekly). Following the news of Saget's death, his fans and friends began to craft tributes and statements about the late actor and comedian.

One emotional statement came from Saget's "Full House" daughter, Cameron Bure, who portrayed the role of D.J. Tanner on the show, the oldest daughter of Saget's character, Danny Tanner. The two later worked together again when Saget joined his former co-stars for the show's revival on Netflix titled "Fuller House."

"I don't know what to say. I have no words," Cameron Bure said via social media following the news of Saget's death, per Us Weekly. "Bob was one of the best humans beings I've ever known in my life. I loved him so much," she added. Of course, the two shared a special bond.

Candace Cameron Bure and Bob Saget remained close after Full House

Us Weekly reports that working on "Full House" was a wonderful experience for many involved, including Bob Saget. In 2019 he spoke out about rejoining his co-stars on the set of "Fuller House," and revealed that he got emotional to be back with the old gang. "I was crying all over the place. It brought back a lot of memories for me," Saget said of filming the reboot. Saget's co-star Candace Cameron Bure later revealed that Saget cried more than she did while filming the last episode of the sequel series.

After "Fuller House" came to an end, Cameron Bure admitted that she kept in touch with her co-stars, including Saget, whom she says would blow up their group chat. "We talk almost every day, and we have several group chats that are going. Sometimes the texts are endless," she said in April 2020. "I'll walk away from my phone and come back to 45 texts and they're usually all from Bob Saget."

Saget and Cameron Bure had a playful relationship as well. In 2020 when the actress took heat for posting a PDA-filled photo of herself and her husband, Saget couldn't resist poking fun at the situation. "Love you guys and congrats on second base!!!" he commented on the snap (via Page Six).

Cameron Bure and the rest of her co-stars are certainly mourning the loss of Saget, but seemed to have a plethora of memories with the late actor to make them smile.
