Nick and Mariah are reportedly on good terms

According to Us Weekly, Nick Cannon and his former wife Mariah Carey are on good terms with each other, and she's been supportive of him after he announced that he's expecting his eighth child. Carey and Cannon, who share two children together, were married from 2008 until 2016, and they've reportedly nailed their co-parenting relationship.

"Mariah and Nick are really great coparents and have a good relationship [and] friendship now so any time Nick has exciting news to share, she's just happy for him," an insider told the magazine. "They're in a good place and they're supportive of each other no matter what."

The insider went on to reveal that as long as the couple's children are thriving, Carey is happy. "As long as Roc and Roe are still very much a part of Nick's life, which they are, and he gives them equal attention, that's what she solely cares about," the insider said, adding that the twins "hold a special place" in Cannon's heart. "They spend a lot of time with Nick and he seems to balance time well with all the children. It's a lot to juggle and he has a lot on his plate, but at the end of the day, family comes first."

Meanwhile, Cannon has been open about his family situation, and is excited to welcome a new child into the mix.
