Inside Zendaya's Gorgeous Northridge Home

Zendaya has enjoyed an illustrious Hollywood career at a young age, with starring roles in blockbuster films, such as "Dune" and the "Spiderman" reboot, and TV, with the HBO series "Euphoria," per IMDb. She has also modeled, sung, danced, and represented big names in fashion as a brand ambassador. Her Northridge, California, home is a reflection of her success. And when she's in need of some R&R, there seems to be no better place to retreat to than her private Mediterranean-style mansion in the Los Angeles suburb.

Zendaya purchased the $1.4 million home (her first real estate purchase) in L.A. when she was only 20, per Trulia. The 4,155-square-foot home features five bedrooms and five baths, a grand entryway, an Instagram-worthy pool area, and a lavish gourmet kitchen. Clearly, Zendaya is living the dream and then some.

Curious to see what her Northridge home looks like? Let's take a look at the actress' not-so-humble abode.

Zendaya's home is in a popular Los Angeles college town

Zendaya's home is situated in Northridge, California, a suburb that's over 30 miles north of downtown Los Angeles, according to Trulia. And, from a real estate standpoint, the neighborhood is quite diverse, featuring homes ranging from $418,000 to $9 million, per Trulia's neighborhood overview.

The star paid a hefty price for her starter home. Per Trulia, she purchased her Northridge mansion for $1.4 million in 2016, and, in 2022, it is now worth over $1.7 million, according to the Realtor.com listing, which states the home is "off market." But that's nothing for the actress, whose net worth is $15 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth, thanks to her movies, TV shows, and influencer status.

Zendaya isn't the only celebrity who's owned property in Northridge. Fellow actresses Chloë Grace Moretz and Bella Thorne and reality TV star Kylie Jenner have all owned homes in the neighborhood, according to another Trulia piece.

Northridge is also home to California State University Northridge. Interestingly, the city was originally called North Los Angeles for its location. Northridge is also diverse, not only in real estate prices but in its population, according to RENTCafé.

Zendaya's dreamy grand staircase makes her feel like Cinderella

Zendaya has yet to play a Disney princess, but we bet her home's spiral staircase makes her feel like one on a daily basis. When you enter her Northridge, California, home, a grand entryway featuring vaulted ceiling and a dramatic staircase with an overlook area greets you. The brown-and-white staircase is made even more grand from its custom wrought-iron railing, as seen in the listing's photo gallery on Realtor.com.

Over the years, Zendaya has shared several images on Instagram from her home, including the staircase, which served as the backdrop of her giant Christmas tree in 2016, as seen in this Instagram post. In the photo, Zendaya is seen on a ladder putting lights on the tree. In the caption, she confessed she never thought she'd have a spiral staircase at the age of 20, adding, "I'm so grateful and appreciative for everything I have cause none of it was given, none of it started like this." In the caption, she also shared her gratitude for her "amazing family," including her teacher parents, writing, "I'm just an Oakland girl ... who worked her a** off and got a lil lucky."

Her house features upgrades and modern amenities

According to Realtor.com, when Zendaya purchased her Northridge, California, home in 2016, it had just undergone a rebuild. As a result, the Mediterranean-style mansion features tons of cool features, including LED recessed lighting, a surround-sound audio system, three balconies, a three-car garage, porcelain flooring, a retiled pool and spa, and smooth stucco and molding on the exterior.

When Zendaya moved in, she added a few of her own touches, however. In an Allure article published in 2016, the writer noted that she had met with the actress at her then-"new" home, where she was installing a security camera. At the time, Zendaya's estate was a blank slate. However, over the years, she's made the house a home. She gave Vogue an inside look in 2019, mostly of her stunning backyard, for the mag's "73 Questions" video series, with the patio furniture out and the pool looking inviting. More on that in a bit.

The Northridge mansion features a white gourmet kitchen

Zendaya's glamorous and ample kitchen is every at-home cook's dream. The white gourmet kitchen features plenty of cabinet space and a large island, with storage for wine bottles and seating area, as shown in a photo off the Realtor.com listing. Stainless steel appliances, a marble-tile backsplash, and the perfect amount of sunlight streaming through the windows behind the sink round out the kitchen, which overlooks the family room and its views of the resort-style backyard oasis.

Zendaya gave a glimpse of her dreamy kitchen in an Instagram video where her niece is pictured sitting on the shiny island counter next to her birthday cake with fresh flowers behind her. Her kitchen was also featured in a video series called "Cooking with the Colemans" in 2017, giving fans an inside look at Zendaya's family and her home life and cooking skills. With a kitchen like that, we'd cook any day.

There's plenty of room for Zendaya's family members and furry friends

With five bedrooms, five bathrooms, and plenty of outdoor space, Zendaya's bachelorette pad has more than enough space for visiting family and friends and her roommate, her dog Noon. And it looks like Noon is enjoying the Northridge pad just as much as Zendaya, according to a string of photos shared on her Instagram account. The set of three photos shows the pupper soaking in the pool with his mom, who's dressed in a bright yellow bikini.

Zendaya posted an Instagram video in 2018 of her and her niece watching the movie "Sing" in her cozy family room, fit with a gray sectional, a round glass coffee table, and the backdrop of her white gourmet kitchen. The room has access to the stunning pool area through either of two sets of French doors, as shown in a photo of the home on Realtor.com.

Her Northridge pad features an idyllic outdoor patio and pool

No Los Angeles mansion is complete without an Instagram-worthy pool, and the one at Zendaya's California pad is no exception. Her pool, which features a waterfall and jacuzzi, is surrounded by lounge chairs and patio furniture shaded by umbrellas, a fire pit, and a barbecue grill, according to the home's listing on Realtor.com. Plus, there's a seating area under the covered porch and a large balcony overlooking the pool, making Zendaya's home a great spot for entertaining family and friends all summer long.

Zendaya showed off her stunning backyard, including her collection of lemon trees, in an episode of Vogue's "73 Questions" video series. At the start of the interview, Zendaya is seen picking lemons off a tree and offering to make lemonade, giving off the appearance that she's settled quite well into life at home in Northridge. In the interview, Zendaya confesses she's a homebody who tells Vogue she likes to "stay at home and stay to myself."

Zendaya has shared a few glimpses of home life with her 128 million Instagram followers, from selfies in her backyard to an all-natural photoshoot in the pool with her dog, Noon.

The palatial bedroom suite is perfect for a Hollywood star like Zendaya

The style of Zendaya's home can be described as modern and cozy, based solely on her bedroom suite and powder room. Both rooms exude warmth, with tones of beige and white throughout — perfect to retreat to after a long day. Then there are the modern amenities, such as a freestanding tub, spa-like shower, and custom fireplace for those cold Los Angeles nights — plus resort-style views of the yard from the private balcony, per Trulia.

The vanity area, located en route to the suite's bathroom, features a large, white-framed mirror with white cabinets for all of Zendaya's beauty tools, as pictured in the Realtor.com listing. Inside the bathroom is the large glass shower, which features an extensive sitting area for a spa-like feel and views of nature from the bay windows just above the tub. With a bathroom like that, we bet Zendaya takes a bath to unwind on a regular basis. We would if we were her! The bathroom also features dual sinks and polished tile throughout, giving it a glamorous vibe. With all she's done in her career, Zendaya has totally earned the stylish space.
