The Real World Star Who Appeared On Days Of Our Lives

Over the years, "Days of Our Lives" has been a major jumping-off point for many actors. The NBC soap opera has made stars out of some of their longtime cast members such as Alison Sweeney (Sami Brady), Deidre Hall (Marlena Evans), Kristian Alfonso (ex-Hope Brady), and many more (via Gold Derby). The sudser has also given some actors and actresses their very first platform to show off their acting chops, per Hollywood Life.

Stars such as Ashley Benson first got their start on the show. Benson, who played Abigail Deveraux, later went on to star on the hit series "Pretty Little Liars." Andrea Barber also appeared on "DOOL" before landing the role of Kimmy Gibler on "Full House." Actress Kristen Storms also made a name for herself in the role of Belle Black, while actresses Lisa Rinna and Eileen Davidson moved on from the soap to become reality stars on "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills." Jensen Ackles also held the role of Eric Brady before gaining recognition as Dean Winchester on "Supernatural."

The show even gave "Real World" star Jamie Chung first major role, which helped her kickstart a career in acting.

Jamie Chung went from The Real World to Salem

"Days of Our Lives" fans may remember the character of Cordy Han, played by actress Jamie Chung. Cordy was a character that interacted with Abigail Deveraux and Chelsea Brady during their early years in college. The three women were in the same sorority, and Cordy had a very shocking storyline when she was sexually assaulted and the women had to navigate the difficult situation (via She Knows Soaps).

However, some fans may now know that Chung actually got her start on the MTV reality series "The Real World: San Diego." Following her stint on reality television, Chung tried her hand at acting, landing small roles in "Veronica Mars" and in the Adam Sandler film "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry." However, her role on "DOOL" marked her very first recurring role after "The Real World."

After exiting the soap opera, Chung went on to star in movies like "Sorority Row" and "Grown Ups." She also appeared on TV shows such as "Once Upon a Time," Lovecraft Country," and most recently, "Dexter: New Blood" (via IMDb). According to Page Six, she's currently married to "One Tree Hill" star Bryan Greenberg, and is the mother of twins.
