The Most Expensive Items You Can Get At H&M

When it comes to fast fashion brands like H&M, the prices are almost always on the affordable side. As it turns out, though, there are sections of the brand's website that'll cost you a pretty penny. Prepare to have your mind blown, because there's a side of H&M you probably never even knew about!

Say goodbye to the times of H&M being all about cheap tank tops and cute blazers. Pricier items from the brand are actually hiding in plain sight — in fact, they're in their own subsections on the website. Areas like the "premium selection," as well as the "conscious choice" section have some seriously steep price points. Though the prices are higher, it is for a justifiable reason, so it all evens out in the end.

This is a great opportunity to dig a little deeper into the brand that you're likely already buying from to learn exactly what's available and how prices are finalized for these pieces. Before shopping at H&M, here's everything you need to know about the most expensive items available for purchase.

H&M's priciest item is a pair of leather leggings

Out of all the gorgeous jackets, dresses, and shoes available, the most expensive item on the H&M website is actually a pair of leather leggings. The pants are from the brand's premium selection on the website, and the price tag is definitely reflective of this. The leather leggings are a whopping $349. Yes, for one pair of leggings.

Oddly enough, there isn't a whole lot of information on the website about the pants other than the fact that they feature a "soft, supple lining" and are made with 100% leather. In fact, you can't even look at them in-stores because they're sold exclusively online. Additionally, the pants are only available in sizes 2 to 14, so they aren't as size inclusive as other items typically sold by the retailer.

Currently, there are eight reviews of the product on the brand's website. While some customers say the quality doesn't match the price, others say these are a great investment. If you're not ready to purchase leggings at that price point, the brand also sells less expensive options both on its website and in store. Who says you can't have it all?

The padded leather bag is next in line

Rivaling the price of the leather leggings, H&M offers a Padded Leather Shopper for a whopping $299. Yes, a bag is the second most expensive item on the website! Who would have thought? If you're wondering why this particular bag is so expensive, it's because the Leather Shopper is sold as part of H&M's premium selection. It's also made form leather and cotton, similar to the high-priced leather leggings. H&M is so cheap because many of its usual products feature less expensive materials, so it makes sense that these specific items would be on the pricier side.

Just like the leather leggings, the reviews on the Padded Leather Shopper Bag are scant. There are only two reviews available — one rates the item as one-star, saying that "the straps are too small," and the other is a five-star rating with no commentary. Seems like you'll have to buy it for yourself to see if it's worth the investment!

Pricey wool-blend coats are also available

Aside from the leather leggings and purse, H&M's coats are the next most expensive item on the website. The Wool-blend Faux Shearling Coat will set you back a cool $249. A winter jacket is a great investment, though, even though you only wear it for one season. A great winter jacket could make all the difference between being warm and comfortable all winter or being uncomfortable and crabby. H&M offers some seriously stylish winter coats, which makes the process of choosing the right one even simpler.

There's everything from faux fur and suede to wool-blend and quilted options. Not all of them are premium, either. There are plenty of options that are less than $100 as well. If you're more confused about H&M than you were when you started reading, we get it. It's nice to know that the brand offers so many options, though, especially if you're looking for a special piece to buy yourself in celebration of that big promotion.
