Jennifer Lopez And Ben Affleck Prove They're In It For The Long Haul With Latest Move

When Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck rekindled their romance almost 20 years after they were first publicly linked, we took it as a sign that maybe sometimes love really does conquer all. As Us Weekly detailed, the superstar couple was a tabloid staple in the early 2000s, from walking red carpets together to co-starring in movies and even in Lopez's infamous "Jenny From the Block" music video. This time around, though, they're keeping things considerably more low-key.

It makes sense, given how vilified both parties were when they first hooked up, in mid-2002, before getting engaged after a whirlwind few months — with a massive pink diamond glittering on Lopez's finger before the year was out. There was an overabundance of public interest in the couple, and they courted some of it too, even participating in a "Dateline" special that took place in their Vancouver rental home.

Lopez intended to become an Affleck when the two tied the knot in September 2003, but sadly their nuptials never came to pass, with the ceremony cancelled just days in advance over "excessive media attention." Bennifer confirmed their split in January 2004, but they've remained cordial in the years since and, in early 2021, rumors began circulating that the couple was trying to make a go of it again.

They've been inseparable ever since, though neither party is courting the paparazzi like before. If this latest move is anything to go by, though, Lopez and Affleck are in it for the long haul.

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are moving in together

TMZ reports recently-reunited exes Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are ready to commit to each other, with the superstar couple looking to purchase a massive, $50-odd million estate in Bel-Air. Boasting 10 bedrooms and 17 bathrooms, the palatial home also includes several(!) kitchens, a home theater and gym, and, naturally, a pool. "Selling Sunset" fans will know the most important element of Los Angeles real estate is the view, and this property features a jaw-dropping one, even though it's secluded behind a bunch of trees, allowing for maximum privacy.

Although they haven't signed on the dotted line just yet, Bennifer are reportedly eager to put down roots together and this particular mansion, which is listed for a whopping $65 million and currently owned by Texas billionaire Todd Lemkin, seems like the ideal spot for them. The happy couple has been maintaining a more elusive air second time around, but Lopez briefly opened up about their relationship in an interview with People, gushing, "I've never been better." The pop star and actor explained, "I feel so lucky and happy and proud to be with him," adding, "It's a beautiful love story that we got a second chance."

However, the "Marry Me" star made it clear they wouldn't be making the same mistakes again, admitting, "Before we kind of put [our relationship] out there and we were naïve and it got a little trampled." This time around, they're putting each other first.
