Shailene Woodley And Aaron Rodgers Prove They're Getting Serious Again

Since they began dating in 2020, Shailene Woodley and Aaron Rodgers' relationship has been a rollercoaster ride. After keeping their romance under wraps, the pair announced they were official around the same time they announced their engagement, per Us Weekly. The Green Bay Packers quarterback made the bombshell revelation (without naming Woodley) during his acceptance speech after receiving the NFL MVP award. "I got engaged, and I played some of the best football of my career," Rodgers said, per Us Weekly.

Throughout 2021, the "Big Little Lies" star and the athlete were frequently seen joined at the hip. From trips to Disneyland and the Kentucky Derby, to vacationing in Hawaii with actor Miles Teller and his wife, per Page Six, it seemed like everything was smooth sailing with the lovebirds. However, by February 2022, Woodley and Rodgers had called it quits. "It was an amicable split; it just wasn't working," a source shared with People. "They're very different people with busy careers and there were obstacles that they couldn't surmount." But come March, the A-lister pair surprised everyone by hinting that they might not be over after all.

Shailene Woodley and Aaron Rodgers spark reconciliation rumors

When Shailene Woodley and Aaron Rodgers first split, everyone wanted to know why. Per InTouch Weekly, the 38-year-old quarterback got "cold feet," while Woodley felt that he was "neglecting" her in favor of his football career. Meanwhile, other sources hinted at Woodley and Rodger's differing views on politics. "They disagreed on a lot of things," one insider shared with People. "Early on, they decided to agree to disagree about things and not debate them."

Despite their differences, and their broken engagement, Woodley and Rodgers have been spending a lot of time together as of late. According to People, the 30-year-old actress and football star were caught canoodling at Demetria Winery in Los Olivos, California. "They seemed really happy," a source shared. "[Shailene] was sitting on [Aaron's] lap while they hung out at the table with friends. They kissed each other's heads and were very affectionate." This hasn't been the only time that Woodley and Rodgers have been spotted spending quality time together since the split. According to People, the exes also attended a wedding together as friends. With his 2021 football season is the rearview, the outlet reported that Rodgers is hoping "to give [things] another try. He thinks Shailene is very special." The same source added that Woodley is "more hesitant," though her body language at the winery with Rodgers would certainly suggest otherwise. Will the second time be the charm for these lovebirds? Only time will tell!
