How Dianna Agron Met Ex-Husband Winston Marshall

Parting may be such sweet sorrow, but for Dianna Agron, parting seems to be quite a secret sorrow. In August 2020, Us Weekly reported that the former "Glee" star and her now ex-husband, former Mumford & Sons banjo player Winston Marshall, split after three years of marriage. A source told the outlet that the musician and the actor had been "living separately" since 2019, and that Agron was back on the dating scene.

Shortly after the news of their split made headlines, Agron was spotted out and about in New York City sans-wedding ring (via E News). As of this writing, the former couple has yet to confirm or comment on the split. However, that seems par for the course, as Agron and Marshall kept their relationship considerably private from the start. This may not come as much of a surprise to fans of the "Glee" actor, as she has kept most of her personal life out of the spotlight for many years.

While we know that the private couple has called it quits, how exactly did Agron meet her ex-husband in the first place?

Dianna Agron and Winston Marshall were first seen together in 2015

According to Us Weekly, Dianna Agron and Winston Marshall were first seen together publicly in July 2015. The two were spotted holding hands while walking through Paris. While the two stayed mum about their status, a source told the outlet that Marshall was the "nicest guy" and treated Agron "like a princess." The insider also noted that Marshall had a great relationship with Agron's family, saying, "He is so thoughtful and flies her family everywhere they go and to see them whenever she wants. He is also so good to her friends."

Although Agron and Marshall kept their relationship very hush-hush, E! News reported that Agron stepped out donning an engagement ring during London Fashion Week in February 2016. The outlet noted that the two had reportedly gotten engaged "over the holidays" in 2015. A few months later, the couple tied the knot in a "three day Morrocan wedding" in October 2016.

Despite their reported split, as of this writing, Agron still follows Marshall on Instagram, so it seems the split may have been at least somewhat amicable.
