Is Kourtney Kardashian And Travis Barker's Marriage Really Legal?

Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker shocked fans when it was revealed that they had tied the knot in a Las Vegas ceremony in the early hours of Monday morning, shortly after Barker performed at the 2022 Grammy Awards. TMZ reports that the happy couple headed to Vegas where they headed to the One Love Wedding Chapel and held a ceremony where they both wore black outfits and matching sunglasses. The duo allegedly didn't allow any photos or videos to be taken of them by the chapel's staff. However, they did allow their people to roll on the moment. The pair went old school Vegas for the ceremony, which was officiated by an Elvis Presley impersonator.

Us Weekly reports that Kardashian and Barker — who got engaged in October – only had three friends with them at their ceremony, as well as one security guard and a member of their personal team. However, there were questions about whether or not the couple had obtained a marriage license before saying their vows at the Vegas chapel. On Wednesday, Kardashian spoke out about the event and explained to her fans via social media exactly what happened during the Vegas wedding and even shared plenty of candid photos from the ceremony.

Kourtney Kardashian sets the record straight about her Vegas wedding with Travis Barker

According to TMZ, sources from the Vegas chapel where Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker held their ceremony claim that the establishment only performs ceremonies if the bride and groom have obtained a marriage license first. However, a friend close to the pair told the outlet that Barker and Kardashian didn't have a license at the time of their Vegas celebration. Later, the Poosh founder shared photos from the event and revealed that the marriage wasn't legal as she and Blink 182 drummer beau didn't obtain a license before tying the knot, per People.

On Wednesday, Kardashian shared a handful of photos from her Las Vegas wedding ceremony with Barker. "Once upon a time in a land far, far away (Las Vegas) at 2am, after an epic night and a little tequila, a queen and her handsome king ventured out to the only open chapel with an Elvis and got married (with no license)," the reality star captioned the snaps on Instagram. "Practice makes perfect," she added.

It seems that Kardashian and Barker have yet to make their union official, and a bigger wedding with their friends and family in attendance is likely in the future for the duo.
