Kim Kardashian Opens Up About The Importance Of Being Honest With Her And Kanye West's Kids

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's divorce has gotten very messy over the past year. Kardashian filed to end her marriage to the rapper in February 2021(via TMZ). However, the duo still haven't settled their split. In addition, West has become very vocal about some of his estranged wife's parenting decisions such as allowing their oldest daughter, North, to post on social media, per Page Six, and not giving him the details about their daughter Chicago's birthday party, Cosmopolitan notes. Of course, West has seemingly been the most aggravated about Kardashian's budding romance with "Saturday Night Live" star Pete Davidson and has publicly criticized the comedian on social media and in interviews, Complex reported.

Sources told Us Weekly in February 2022 that the "Heartless" rapper has been "feeling powerless" when it comes to his relationship with the KKW Beauty founder and their family, so he's been speaking out on social media as a way to feel heard. "Kanye is putting divorce matters to the back burner," the insider stated. "He didn't choose divorce and isn't liking that Kim is basically 'winning' so far when it comes to the kids [and] the home."

Meanwhile, all the drama has played out in the media, and Kardashian recently spoke out about how much her four children know about their parents' issues.

Kim Kardashian says her kids are aware of the drama

According to Hollywood Life, Kim Kardashian and her family sat down for a tell-all interview with Robin Roberts this week as a way to promote their new Hulu reality show "The Kardashians." During the interview, Kardashian was asked about her divorce from Kanye West and how it's impacted the couple's four children, North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm. The Skims creator admitted that she's been as honest with her children as possible and that her two younger children don't understand what's going on the way that North and Saint do.

"As far as with my two older ones, they know what's going on," Kardashian stated. "You have to really be there for them no matter what. Even in this crazy life we live. You have to have a really open dialogue with your children. Kanye and I have had conversations, we have to talk daily for the kids. I hate that it had to play out like that, but when it comes to family, Kanye and I will always be family," the reality star continued. "At the end of the day, I just want my kids to be happy and healthy and think the world of their dad. And they do," she added.

It appears that Kardashian isn't hiding the fact that she and West are struggling amid their divorce from her children. Meanwhile, Page Six notes that Kardashian said she always wants West to be able to "speak his truth" in life.
