Nearly 20 years after breaking off their first engagement, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are betrothed once again. The singer and actress shared the exciting news that Affleck popped the question with a stunning green engagement ring in a video to fans, per People.
The couple — dubbed "Bennifer" — first got engaged in 2002 but broke things off in 2004. Lopez went on to marry singer Marc Anthony just four months later, and they share two children, Max and Emme. The couple divorced in 2014.
Affleck also didn't waste any time moving on. He married Jennifer Garner in 2005, with whom he shares three kids: Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel. They split up in 2015, according to Us Weekly. The breakup hit Affleck hard. "I never thought that I was gonna get divorced. I didn't want to get divorced. I didn't want to be a divorced person. I really didn't want to be a split family with my children," he revealed in an interview with Diane Sawyer (via YouTube). "And it upset me because it meant I wasn't who I thought I was"
Luckily, Garner remained a supportive ex as Affleck battled substance abuse issues. In fact, she staged an intervention and personally drove him to a rehab facility in 2018, per TMZ. "Ben and Jen have immense love and respect for one another," a source told Us Weekly. "They still coparent together and that will always come first."

In fact, the insider revealed that Lopez and Garner have had "numerous talks." They added that the women know they'll be linked moving forward.
Garner has also found love again since her split from Affleck. "The Adam Project" star is dating businessman John Miller, whom she met through mutual friends in 2018. The pair split in early 2020 reportedly because she was not ready to get married, but they rekindled their romance the following year. "Jen brings out the best in John, and he is the happiest he has probably ever been. It's a loving, healthy relationship," a source told Us Weekly.
