Teresa Giudice Gets Extremely Blunt With Melissa Gorga During RHONJ Reunion Special

Fans of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" have had a front-row seat to the ups and downs between Teresa Giudice and her sister-in-law, Melissa Gorga. The women have famously feuded off and on throughout the years, but after Teresa was released from federal prison in 2016 after serving almost one year for multiple charges — including conspiracy to commit wire fraud and bankruptcy fraud, per ABC News – the ladies appeared to have moved past the drama.

After getting out of prison and divorcing husband Joe Giudice, Teresa moved on to a new relationship with Luis Ruelas. After more than one year of dating, the couple got engaged in October 2021 in Greece. "It was absolutely exquisite," a source told People of the proposal. "The choreographed fireworks display illuminated a 'Marry Me' sign as Louie got down on one knee. Teresa was completely surprised."

Although they originally wanted to tie the knot in Italy, the pandemic interfered with Teresa and Luis's plans. Now, they are going to wed in New Jersey sometime during the summer of 2022, per People. But while Melissa — and her husband, Joe — are expected to be in attendance, Teresa revealed to a shocked Andy Cohen on an episode of "Watch What Happens Live" that Melissa will not be a bridesmaid at the wedding.

Teresa Giudice doesn't feel close to Melissa Gorga

Melissa Gorga was understandably hurt by the news that she won't be a bridesmaid in Teresa Giudice's upcoming wedding to Luis Ruelas. According to Teresa, however, the decision makes sense. "This is the thing honey, we're not close. Like, you're my sister-in-law, but we're not close," Teresa said on the 1st episode of the "Real Housewives of New Jersey" reunion, per Page Six.

Melissa took offense that while she isn't included in the wedding party, all of Luis's sisters are bridesmaids for the summer 2022 nuptials. The founder of Envy also brought up how much she helped out with Teresa's four daughters during her sister-in-law's stint in jail. "We have history, honey, me and you, and I love you very much, and I'm happy for you," Melissa explained. "But I think you should remember what family is."

Although Teresa has made her decision about Melissa's involvement in her wedding, she's still not sure if the event will be taped for Bravo TV. "This is not something [being on television]  [Luis] signed up for," she told E! News. "He met Teresa Giudice and ... does he want to be on TV? No. But, if he dates me, does he have to be on TV? I mean, of course."
