Days Of Our Lives Star Brandon Barash Shared A Sweet Message For His Mom
"Days of Our Lives" viewers have come to know and love actor Brandon Barash. The soap vet was first introduced to fans as a recast for the character of Stefan DiMera, which was previously played by actor Tyler Christopher. "DOOL" fans loved the character of Stefan and his pairing with Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus). However, the character was shockingly killed off in October 2019, per Soaps. Of course, viewers were stunned and saddened about the thought of not seeing Stefan/Barash back on their TV screens. Although, they didn't have to wait too long before the actor returned to Salem.
In April 2020, Barash returned to the NBC soap opera. However, he was playing the character of Jake Lambert, a mechanic with a criminal past (via Soaps in Depth). Once his likeness to Stefan was noticed by Salem citizens, it was revealed that Jake was Stefan's long-lost twin brother. The twins were the offspring of Vivian Alamain and Stefano DiMera, and Jake was left with a wild and complicated new family history to learn, as the DiMera family tree is a large one.
Although Jake doesn't really have close ties to his DiMera family members, Barash couldn't be more opposite. In reality, the actor's family is seemingly the center of his universe.
Brandon Barash has often spoken out about his late father
In June 2021, Brandon Barash took to social media to pay tribute to his late father, Jerry Barash. According to Soap Opera Spy, Barash's father was the Presiden and CEO of Sysco Food Services. On what would have been Jerry's 70th birthday, his son wrote a loving post in honor of his father. "Today would've been my pop's 70th," Barash said via Instagram. "While June 7 is always a sad, heavy day, I'm uplifted by the solace and power I find in the love he left behind. I love you, Pop," he added.
The previous year Barash also took to Instagram to reflect on his father on the third anniversary of his death. "Pop, you've been gone three years, yet it feels like a lifetime. I'd do anything for one more conversation... one more hug... one more kiss... one more laugh... one more scotch... one more poker game," the "Days of Our Lives" star said, leaving fans in tears over the heartbreaking post.
Of course, in addition to his love for his late father, Barash has proven that he has a very special place in his heart for his mother as well.
Brandon Barash showed his mom some love on her 70th birthday
Brandon Barash might love to tell the world about his amazing father, but that doesn't mean he doesn't also have some serious love for his mother. In April 2022, the "Days of Our Lives" fan-favorite hit up Instagram to wish his mom a very happy 70th birthday with a series of sweet photographs and some heartwarming words (via Soaps).
"Seventy(?!) has never looked so good," Barash captioned the Instagram snaps. "Ma — I'd have been lost in many a situations without your love and guidance...and your cooking! You've taught me many things — most importantly your ability to swear in a way that'd make Andrew Dice Clay blush. Happy 70. Love you to infinity and beyond," he concluded.
In the photos, Barash's mother is seen snuggling up to him and his 8-year-old daughter Harper, whom he shares with ex-wife Kirsten Storms. The family looks so happy and fans were delighted to see Barash give his mom a shoutout for her milestone birthday.
