Twitter Has A Lot To Say About Meghan And Harry's Fourth Wedding Anniversary

It was a royal dream come true. Four years ago, on May 19, 2018, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were married in a fairytale ceremony at Windsor Castle. Many of us in the United States remember getting up early that Saturday morning in May to witness the majestic wedding that began at 7 a.m. eastern standard time (via Town & Country).

After all, there was so much to see and we didn't want to miss a second of the stunning gown, the horse-drawn procession, all the celebrity guests, or the fans standing outside with tears streaming down their faces. Though the most heartwarming moments were probably a tie between Prince Harry and Markle's beaming smiles all day long and when the Duke uttered the words "You look amazing" to Markle at the altar (via Us Weekly).

So much has happened in the past four years. It's been a little over a year since Harry and Markle have officially been out of the royal family, after stepping down as senior working royals (via Glamour). They left the U.K. and made a secret move to Santa Barbara where they've attempted to live a life out of the intense scrutiny of the British media (via ABC 7).

Through it all, they've remained committed to each other and their family. Now, on their fourth wedding anniversary, Twitter fans are sharing their thoughts on the couple.

Twitter fans are recalling sweet memories

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are often the subjects of debate with both fans and haters saying whatever is on their minds in regard to the couple. However, it seems that fans are coming out in droves on their fourth wedding anniversary to share overwhelmingly good wishes for the happy pair.

One Twitter user alluded to the turmoil the couple has endured, tweeting, "Happy anniversary to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Love always wins!" Another shared, "I watched this wedding the number of times it was broadcast on my side of the globe! I heart them all the way. Still do! Happy blessed wedding anniversary Harry and Meghan! You will yet celebrate many more in true love. Amen!"

Something that many remember about this wedding was the captivating way Harry looked at Markle and vice versa. One fan tweeted what was perhaps on many minds, "4 years later and I'm still not over Henry Charles Albert David not being able to keep his eyes off his wife on their wedding day."

One of the most endearing tweets was a quote that Princess Diana said in a BBC interview in 1995 (via Today), "If you find someone you love in life, you must hang onto it, and look after it, and if you were lucky enough to find someone who loved you, then you must protect it." Interestingly, it seems that's exactly what the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have done.
