Will Days Of Our Lives Fans See Even More Of Bo Brady In The Future?

"Days of Our Lives" viewers have been obsessed with the character of Bo Brady (Peter Reckell) since the 1980s. Bo was first introduced to fans back in 1983 as the son of Shawn and Caroline Brady — although it was later revealed that Bo was the biological son of Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston), per Soap Central. After introducing the character, the NBC soap opera paired him with the fiery Hope Williams (Kristian Alfonso). The pair were an instant hit with fans and went on to become one of the greatest soap opera super couples ever (via We Love Soaps).

After many years of being a fan-favorite character, "Days of Our Lives" fans were stunned to learn that Bo was being written off the show, as Reckell revealed that he ultimately wanted to spend more time at home with his family. "I just wanna enjoy this time with my daughter before she's off and running with her own life," the actor said at the time (per Soap Hub).

In 2015, Reckell returned to the sudser as Bo to give fans some closure on the character. Bo came home in a heroic way to save the love of his life and later found out that he had a brain tumor. Bo died in Hope's arms in one of the saddest "Days of our Lives" character deaths ever. However, fans will soon see Bo and Hope together again.

Bo will reunite with Hope during Season 2 of Beyond Salem

Since Bo Brady is such a beloved character, "Days of Our Lives" fans were thrilled when it was revealed that Peter Reckell would be returning to reprise the role for Season 2 of the soap's spin-off series "Beyond Salem." Not only will Bo be back in action for the 5-part limited series, but he'll also be reuniting with his wife, Hope (per TVLine). Bo and Hope will be reunited again on the small screen during Season 2 of the show, which is said to be an action-packed adventure ride.

A synopsis for the show reads: "Heartwarming family reunions take a dangerous turn as a mysterious adversary wreaks havoc on their lives. The next chapter of 'Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem' is a story full of larger-than-life romance, jaw-dropping twists, and high-stakes drama — and it all connects back to a plot that long-time 'Days of Our Lives' fans will surely remember."

While Bo has already been seen as a spirit on the flagship series, it appears that he'll also be back in ghost-form for "Beyond Salem" (via Soaps). However, fans are still holding out hope that Reckell will eventually return to the soap in a more permanent way, and it seems that he may not be opposed to the idea.

Peter Reckell teases his future as Bo Brady

Many "Days of Our Lives" fans never got over Bo Brady's death. However, as any soap opera viewer knows, no character is ever truly dead. That's especially true in the fictional town of Salem, where Dr. Rolf has brought characters back to life on numerous occasions. Of course, fans have been hoping for the return of Bo for years, and actor Peter Reckell is speaking out about his possible future with the sudser.

During a recent interview, Reckell admitted he had a great time filming "Beyond Salem," and that the schedule of the spin-off suits the current state of his career perfectly, per Soap Central. When asked if he'd ever return to play Bo again, the actor revealed that he was very open to the possibility.

"I'm open to whatever, especially the Peacock show; that's like a perfect scenario, because I can come down and do a few shows and then come back home. We'll see what happens," he said (via Soaps). "NBC and Peacock want to see what the reaction is, if it's worth it to them. And, they've got to gauge how important Bo and Hope [Kristian Alfonso] are to the show. So, I think there's a lot of stuff still up in the air for the people who write the shows, etc. And so, we're just going to take it one day at a time."

It certainly sounds like the door is open for Bo to return to "Days of Our Lives" in the future.
