What Happened To Adam Weir On Renovation Island?

Since the show debuted in 2020, HGTV's "Renovation Island" fans have loved following contractor Bryan Baeumler and his wife, designer Sarah Baeumler, as they moved their family to the Bahamas to "transform an abandoned 10-acre property into a world-class island oasis complete with 18 luxurious hotel rooms, 22 ocean front villas and a host of breezy resort amenities," according to Discovery.

Of course, the Baeumlers couldn't do everything on their own, so they brought along their project manager, Adam Weir, who had been working with the couple since their first show, "House of Bryan," aired in 2010, per Hollywood Mask. However, Adam never aspired to be in the construction industry. After working a series of jobs — including performing magic on a cruise ship and teaching wakeboarding — Adam met Bryan Baeumler while working at a camp in Canada. When his contract ended, he landed a job at Baeumler Quality Construction (via Toronto Star)."I was very happy that Bryan took me under his wing and gave me this opportunity," Adam wrote for Toronto Star. "However, I didn't know what I was in for. Construction has been one of the toughest jobs that I have taken on. The hours can be long and the job is dusty and dirty — but on the bright side, you get your workout at work."

Through the years he and the Baeumlers became close, and Adam served as a production manager for "Renovation Island." So fans were surprised when he didn't return for Season 3 of the show.

Adam Weir wanted to stay in Canada

Although he loved working with Bryan and Sarah Baeumler on "Renovation Island," Adam Weir decided not to return for the show's third season because he no longer wanted to live in the Bahamas. "Adam has found himself a nice girlfriend, and he wants to stick it out here in Canada for a little while and forge his own path a little bit, which I think is great, but I'm gonna miss him, so I hope we can get him down for a visit, just to have a fun," Bryan explained on the season's second episode, per Distractify.

Adam frequently posts photos on social media with his girlfriend, Brittany Lynn Murphy, who he has been dating since 2018, according to Hollywood Mask. The couple — along with her two daughters — recently took a trip to Disney World together, which Weir documented with a series of posts on his Instagram page.

Since leaving "Renovation Island," Adam became a licensed real estate professional and joined Right at Home Realty, according to an Instagram post.

Adam Weir is still close with the Baeumlers

Although he is no longer on "Renovation Island," Adam Weir is still close with Bryan and Sarah Baeumler. "Adam is part of the family," Sarah explained on an episode of the show, via Distractify. "As we say, he is our fifth child. So I think he will always be in our life in some capacity."

While Adam had joked that he "wouldn't pick up the phone" if Bryan called (via Distractify), he has continued to work with the Baeumlers. In fact, he appeared at the 2022 Ottawa Home & Remodeling Show and the Toronto National Home Show, where he gave presentations on the construction industry. Adam's appearances were sponsored by Baeumler Approved, which helps Canadian homeowners find reputable contractors, trades, and home service providers throughout the country.

Adam is also working as the Chief Marketing Officer at Generational Wealth Properties, and is an owner at EZ Dock Kawartha, according to his LinkedIn page. So it's clear that while he's no longer on television, Adam has kept himself busy.
