Kesha Is Nearly Unrecognizable Going Makeup Free (& Is Hiding Something Beneath The Glam)

As an artist bent on overcoming her fair share of tragedies, musician Kesha Sebert is incorporating love for her fresh face into her repertoire — giving us all a peek at her gorgeous glowing skin. Known mononymously as Kesha, the "Take It Off" singer has gone makeup free on more than one occasion, revealing her often hidden freckles. Seen here in an Instagram post from July 2025, Kesha's bare face is nearly unrecognizable, showing the start contrast between when she's glammed up and stripped down.

Of course, Kesha has undergone quite the beauty transformation over the years, and her glow up shows no signs of stopping. But what many people with freckles often struggle with is the balance of wanting to show off their beauty marks and how most foundation and makeups will ultimately completely cover them up. We at The List reached out to hair and makeup artist Luna Viola to see if she had any expert tips for those who want to walk the fine line of putting their freckles on display while still wearing makeup, and she certainly delivered. With Viola's advice, anyone from Kesha to a beginner can find ways to enhance or simply style their unique features.

For those wanting to keep their freckles front and center, without having to forgo makeup, fashion and cosmetics guru from Los Angeles, CA, Luna Viola came through with some expert pointers.

Though Kesha has her own preferred beauty items, Viola noted that using liquid concealer sparingly could work wonders. She recommended using it "under eyes or to conceal any blemish," instead of using full foundation. "A buildable light foundation ... can be used to soften the look of the freckles without covering them completely," Viola explained, with a suggestion for BB cream.

For those who want to draw even more attention to their freckles with the help of makeup, Viola mentioned to "use a light bronzer and a freckle pen." This will help them "stand out more," according to the expert. Considering that Kesha has always been ahead of the beauty fashion curve, it makes sense that showing off freckles is being embraced and popularized by many.
