Police Bodycam Footage Of Justin Timberlake's Arrest Is So Embarrassing

Despite his attempts to keep it out of the public eye, footage of Justin Timberlake's 2024 DWI arrest in the Hamptons was eventually released, and it shows the "Cry Me a River" hitmaker in a hugely embarrassing light. In the video, taken from Sag Harbor Police bodycams, Timberlake tries to explain to the officers that he was just returning to his home. He can be seen struggling to answer questions and perform the standardized field sobriety test, which he complains is "really hard." After refusing to take a breathalyzer test, the pop star is arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. 

While he continues to deny that he was drunk, protesting that he only had one martini, the Grammy winner did reach an agreement with the court after pleading guilty to impaired driving. He was required to pay a fine and take part in community service, alongside recording a public safety announcement. The arrest footage instantly became a hot topic of conversation on social media, and the jokes came even faster. 

The moment where the arresting officer doesn't know who Timberlake is, and the singer struggles to explain it to him, stood out to users on X, with one remarking, "He was so high, he forgot," while another user suggested that the "Sexyback" hitmaker should have taken a line from Timberlake's ex-girlfriend Britney Spears and simply responded: "I'm Justin, b***h." Others commented on the pop star's issues with the field sobriety test, with one quipping, "Now he has some new moves he can practice. Heel toe, heel toe baby." Meanwhile, over on Bluesky, plenty of users took a moment to include Timberlake's former bandmates in their jeering, with one quipping, "The other former members of N Sync can't get themselves arrested."

Not long after Justin Timberlake was arrested, Page Six spoke to an inside source who claimed that the star's drinking has been an issue for some time, saying, "It's not a secret. Everyone knows." A second source told the paper a different story, saying that Timberlake had been preparing for his tour and hadn't been drinking for some time before the night of the arrest. Meanwhile, stories swirled that the arrest wasn't helping his reportedly troubled marriage to Jessica Biel.

In July 2025, Timberlake took to Instagram to celebrate the end of his tour and reveal that he has Lyme disease. The illness is spread through tick bites and can cause a number of painful issues, including aching muscles, fatigue, and arthritis. That October, Timberlake and Biel celebrated their 13th wedding anniversary, with a source telling People that, after a tough year, the duo would take some time to be with their two sons. The unnamed source went on to say, "Even when life is down, they're very committed to their marriage." But things possibly took a bad turn in 2026, with insiders painting a bleak picture of Timberlake and Biel's marriage.
