Megyn Kelly Rushes To Defend Kristi Noem's Affair As Bryon Scandal Unfolds

March was definitely not Kristi Noem's month. Mere weeks after getting officially kicked to the curb by Donald Trump as secretary of Homeland Security, a bombshell report about her husband's extramarital activities is all over the internet. Luckily for Kristi, as she's getting mocked everywhere on X, formerly known as Twitter, she has at least one defender in her corner. Megyn Kelly's take on the trials and tribulations Kristi is facing these days is that she's the victim. And it's safe to guess that Noem is grateful to have anyone defending her during this surely difficult time. 

After news broke that Bryon Noem was paying folks online to send explicit messages and photos back and forth over the course of Kristi's time as DHS secretary, Kelly addressed the scandal on her podcast, "The Megyn Kelly Show." And, in Kelly's eyes, Bryon's betrayal may even make Kristi's own reported disloyalty okay. It has long been rumored that Kristi is having an affair with her former adviser Corey Lewandowski. On Tuesday's episode, Kelly said, "I feel for Kristi Noem. It puts a totally different spin on the affair she's allegedly been having with Corey Lewandowski." And Kelly didn't just empathize with Kristi in this situation. She also urged listeners to put themselves in her shoes, saying, "Ladies, can you imagine if you found out your husband was doing this?"

Megyn Kelly took her defense of Kristi Noem further, saying, "Who could blame her? It feels almost noble at this point," in reference to the rumored affair with Corey Lewandowski. She then corrected herself, saying, "I mean, like, it's not noble. They're both married and have children ... I'm just saying it definitely gives a different look at it, because you never know what's going on in someone's marriage." 

Kelly clearly considers Kristi's affair to be entirely justified, considering what Bryon Noem has been doing behind closed doors. Yet, a spokesperson for Kristi told the Daily Mail that she got news of Bryon's indiscretions just as the rest of the world did. "Mrs Noem is devastated," they said, adding, "The family was blindsided by this. They ask for privacy and prayers at this time." So, it's unknown whether or not Kristi was aware of her husband's sordid behavior and then proceeded to have an affair of her own, or whether the timeline is a bit more complicated than that. Either way, though, Kelly seems to be one of the few voices rallying support behind Kristi. And we can only imagine that she's happy to have someone doing so in all this chaos.
