Kristi Noem's Rumored Lover Is Reportedly In Full Damage Control Mode After Bryon's Scandal

When Kristi Noem officially got kicked to the curb by President Donald Trump, it was widely believed that her alleged affair with special aide Corey Lewandowski was to blame. However, in the wake of an unfolding scandal surrounding Kristi's husband Bryon Noem, the former Trump campaign manager could just be her saving grace. After the bombshell Bryon report put the Noems' marriage in a shocking (and telling) new light, it appears that her rumored lover might be coming to Kristi's aid in her time of need. According to the New York Post's source, Lewandowski has been doing his best to play the part of crisis manager for Kristi and her family (via the Hindustan Times).

"He's a survivor," an insider disclosed, in reference to Lewandowski, and perhaps he's imparting those survival skills onto Kristi and Bryon. Although the Noem family has asked for "privacy and prayers" during this difficult time, according to the New York Post, it seems unlikely that the public will be done chewing over the juicy details any time soon. Likewise, considering all the tragic details of Bryon Noem's life thus far, it makes sense that the family could use all the help they can get to weather this storm. Though the supposed lengthy affair between Kristi and Lewandowski has clouded their reputations, it wouldn't be the first time he has stuck by her during a difficult time.

Corey Lewandowski is standing by Kristi Noem in her time of need

Kristi Noem infamously brought alleged boy toy Corey Lewandowski along for the ride during her tenure as the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security. Officially, he was an unpaid "special government employee," but Lewandowski reportedly made a pretty penny working for Noem. While the timeline of Kristi Noem and Corey Lewandowski's rumored affair is long, it's unclear if their ongoing relationship or the publicity that came with it is what drove the two to stick together. And yet, the political operative notably won't be working with Noem following her DHS ouster. A spokesperson initially confirmed to NBC News, "Mr. Lewandowski no longer has a role at DHS," while the New York Post subsequently revealed that he had no interest in following her to the State Department despite popping up at an official meeting with Guyanese bureaucrats alongside Kristi.

The former Trump campaign manager sat next to his rumored lover, who's now the U.S. Special Envoy to the Shield of the Americas, during her March 2026 trip to the South American country, which naturally set tongues wagging. Lewandowski isn't technically an employee anymore, so maybe he was just there for moral support. And, with the news that the political strategist is continuing to help her family sort out the chaos caused by Bryon Noem's wild online double life, it seems Noem and Lewandowski can't quit each other.
