The Best Celeb Stories From Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce's Wedding

After much speculation and intense anticipation from fans, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce tied the knot on July 4, 2026, at the iconic Madison Square Garden in New York. The event was attended by some of the world's most well-known A-listers, socialites, and sporting stars — although, admittedly, there were some celebrities at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding whom we didn't expect to see.

Beyond the famous faces, numerous roads around MSG were closed to traffic as a result of the pair's wedding. Pedestrian access to the area was also limited, and the event required a heavy police presence, all of which racked up a hefty bill. Speaking at a press conference (via Hello!), New York City's mayor Zohran Mamdani was questioned about the costs of T&T's big day. He confirmed that Swift had settled the bill.

Despite the large-scale operation that was Swift and Kelce's nuptials, the specifics of the ceremony have been kept under wraps. Attendees have, for the most part, stayed largely quiet about what went on as the pair said "I do." However, it was revealed that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding wasn't flawless, and guests did have one complaint. As for the positives? Well, there were certainly a lot of those, as some celebrities let slip ... much to the delight of fans!

Travis Kelce branded it the 'best night' of his life

Despite being one of the most famous people on the planet, Taylor Swift has managed to keep her romance with Travis Kelce pretty private. The pair have frequently appeared together in public, but they've offered little to no details about their relationship behind closed doors ... and that includes details of their wedding day. That said, Kelce seemingly couldn't help himself from giving fans a little slice of intel following their nuptials, which took place in July 2026 at New York's Madison Square Garden.

Speaking to reporters (via the BBC) at the Kansas City Chiefs' training camp in Missouri in August 2026, Kelce described his and Swift's wedding as the "best night" of his life. Given that he was the groom, that admission came as no surprise, but his decision to elaborate on their choice of venue was a welcome delight for fans of the couple. "It was kind of cool to live out my childhood dream of being in that venue," he went on, describing it as "the mecca of all sports venues."

Elsewhere during the chat with reporters, Kelce thanked the many guests who attended, which included celebrities such as Selena Gomez, Jimmy Fallon, Gigi Hadid, and Jessica Alba, to name a few. "[It was a] crazy night," he continued. In the same conversation, Kelce also sweetly referred to Swift as "my wife" for the first time publicly since saying "I do."

Jason Kelce celebrated his daughters being flower girls

Like Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, Jason Kelce has been careful not to divulge too much about the duo's wedding day. But he has shared a few insights with eager fans here and there. Jason, who was the best man for his brother on the big day, wasn't the only family member with a special role. His four daughters were flower girls — and he had plenty to say about that while speaking to the Reno Gazette Journal at the American Century Championship golf tournament just days later.

"It was a special event for our entire family, and obviously my daughters are incredible," the podcaster and former professional football player said. Jason went on to describe his girls as "beautiful" and praised their "incredible personalities." It's no wonder, then, that Jason said: "Travis and Taylor love them." Well, who wouldn't?!

Ultimately, he said that he and his daughters were very pleased to be a part of the wedding ceremony. "And more importantly, very happy for those two. It was an amazing day," he added. As amazing as the day was, the following one might have been a bit tougher for Jason. He revealed to a fan (via The New York Post) that he drank "way over" 15 beers at the event. Sounds like the recipe for a stinking hangover.

Donna Kelce described the wedding as 'magical'

Thought Travis Kelce's mom Donna Kelce might have revealed details about his and Taylor Swift's wedding? Think again! In keeping with the secrecy surrounding the pair's nuptials, Mama Kelce (as she was affectionately called on "The Traitors" Season 4) has also stayed quiet regarding specific details about the ceremony.

Be that as it may, Donna did give fans a tiny teaser of information. "I really can't say a heck of a lot except it was magical, man, magical," she said in an interview posted on the Macy's Instagram. "Happy for the beautiful lovely couple!" a fan replied in the comment section. "They both deserve happiness," added another.

The reality TV star's very media-trained answer regarding her son and daughter-in-law's big day was to be expected. She previously spoke about how much the couple trusts her while denying rumors that she had signed an NDA (that's a nondisclosure agreement, FYI). "They know I can keep a secret," Donna told TMZ in the run-up to the wedding. Elsewhere in that interview, she hinted that she was looking forward to her "first dance" with her son following his marriage. Donna joked: "I'm sure it will be interesting."

AMC's CEO let major details about the wedding slip on socials

Unlike the entire Kelce family, who have remained tight-lipped about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding day, one person who did quite the opposite is the CEO of AMC Theaters, Adam Aron. In a lengthy post on X, which has since been deleted but was screenshotted by social media users and seen by The Hollywood Reporter, Aron dished on everything from the decorations to the couple's vows.

"It was such a privilege to be THERE," Aron began the post, before describing how Madison Square Garden was transformed. "Immediately upon entry, everything ... floors, walls, ceilings ... was draped in peach and white [sic]," he recalled, adding that there were massive images of the couple "at each age" hanging all around. In a different area of the sporting venue, Aron said that "[s]omehow magically, someone created an outdoor garden," which included both real flowers and artificial trees.

Decorations aside, Aron also spilled the tea on Swift and Kelce's wedding vows. He described them as "[l]ong, entertaining, personal, charming, emotional, irreverent, and endearing explorations by each as to how they met." Another key detail that Aron revealed in his post was how Adam Sandler performed as the officiant. Although the CEO didn't directly name the movie star, he said: "An officiant talked and sang and talked. He was warm and welcoming, funny, and eloquent."

Andy Reid commended Adam Sandler's officiation skills

Adam Aron, CEO of AMC Theaters, which took Taylor Swift's "Eras Tour" into cinemas globally in 2023, wasn't the only wedding guest to comment on Adam Sandler's skills as the officiant. At a press conference for a music event (via Deseret News) in the days following, Andy Reid — who is head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs, the team for which Travis Kelce plays — said Sandler offered the newlyweds a sound piece of advice.

"He told them, 'Keep kissing,'" Reid recalled. "So, in its simplest form, that's a good thing. It's hard to argue when you give your wife a kiss, or your wife gives you a kiss. And make sure you do it every day, every minute that you have an opportunity to do it. Knock it out, and you won't have problems."

Beyond Sandler's advice, Reid painted a picture of how much personality he brought to the ceremony. "In a simple, hysterical way, he was phenomenal," the coach stated. "He's crazy, but he did a great job in getting them married with a lot of humor."

Greg James described the day as a 'strange but exciting dream'

In October 2025, Taylor Swift gave an interview to BBC Radio 1 host Greg James to mark the release of "The Life of a Showgirl." In that chat, the singer casually invited the radio DJ to her wedding (per RealityTea), and from that point on, Brits eagerly awaited to find out if James would actually end up going ... which he later revealed he did.

Speaking about the wedding on his radio show after his return from the U.S., James said he had to keep everything a secret beforehand but was finally able to share some details. "I couldn't even tell my boss, I just took annual leave," he said (via the BBC), describing the day as an "amazingly strange but exciting dream."

While answering questions live on-air from listeners, James commented on how many celebrities were at Swift and Travis Kelce's nuptials. "Every 10 seconds it was a room full of the most famous people in the world," he said. "I just couldn't believe [it]. It was like going to Madame Tussauds but the wax was animated and you could interact with the wax and it talked back to you, it was absolutely mad."

Ryan Clark praised the love between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce

In addition to the many actors, models, and musicians in attendance at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding, there were plenty of figures from the sporting world, including former NFL player Ryan Clark. Days later, while chatting on "The Pivot Podcast," Clark shared a debrief of the couple's big day and praised the undeniable love between the newlyweds. "The one thing that was extremely evident the entire night, throughout the vows, was those two humans really love each other," he said. "Those are two people who are insanely talented, insanely successful, extremely well off, and they had found their person."

Clark didn't stop there, which is clearly a testament to the bond between Swift and Kelce. "Trav had been looking for one thing his whole life. She had been looking for one thing her whole life, and they actually got that," he said. "The happiness, man, between those two that they shared that night was truly, truly a blessing to witness and be a part of. So I wish them nothing but the best."

Later, Clark commented on the couple's sweet decision to invite him. "I had no entitlement to be there," he admitted. "So to be one of the people that they considered close enough, important enough, however they decided to make their list, to be there was truly an honor." The ex-footballer also said that, despite the hefty guest list — which was estimated to be about 1,000 invitees, per multiple outlets, including the BBC — he was still able to chat with Kelce and even share a hug with him.

Joseph Kahn was giddy over meeting A-listers at the wedding

By now, it's pretty evident that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding guest list was pretty much a who's who of famous faces. Perhaps that's why South Korean-American director Joseph Kahn (who worked on a number of Swift's music videos, including "Bad Blood" and "Look What You Made Me Do") took to Instagram to share how hard he fanboyed at the event.

In a sweet Instagram post, Kahn revealed that he and his wife, Lotte Kahn, were lucky enough to meet Steven Spielberg and his wife, Kate Capshaw. Writing that he had a memorable time, Kahn said that being able to talk about filmmaking with Spielberg — whom he branded "the GOAT" — was a "lifelong dream achieved."

Elaborating on the star-studded guest list, Kahn said, "Yes, literally everyone was there." He went on to say that "it was like living in the internet" and joked that AI would never be able to render such an assortment of attendees. Regardless, the director revealed the wedding remained a private affair. "It was so much funnier and emotional [sic] than expected, and as big as it was, it also felt very intimate."

Rob Gronkowski said the dance floor was 'popping'

Given that Taylor Swift is one of the most record-breaking musical artists of all time, you would assume her wedding would be full of dance floor bangers that guests couldn't resist. And, you'd be correct. According to former NFL player Rob Gronkowski, the dance floor at Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding was the place to be.

"It was top-notch," Gronkowski said of the wedding in general on an episode of "The Other Football" podcast (via USA Today), adding, "Hats off to Taylor and Trav." Commenting on the vibes specifically, Gronkowski continued: "And the dance floor, that's the one thing. It was poppin'."

Also in the podcast, the ex-tight end echoed other guest testimonials regarding how many celebrities were in attendance. "It was the most amount of black cars I've ever seen going into Madison Square Garden. It was five blocks of black cars in a row," he recalled. As for whether Gronkowski actually spotted any famous faces in particular? Well, his attention was seemingly elsewhere. He told podcast co-host Jameis Winston that he tuned into the Argentina versus Cape Verde World Cup match while waiting to be dropped off. "That got me prepared for the wedding because that's one of the best games that you could've possibly watched," he said. "It got you out of your seat, it got you excited, and same with this wedding."

Niecy Nash-Betts revealed that 'no details' were spared

Hours after Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce said "I do," actor Niecy Nash-Betts took to Instagram to share content she took before the ceremony. In the caption, Nash-Betts — who starred alongside Kelce on "Grotesquerie," which is probably how she scored an invite — shared a small snippet of intel on the event. "A time was had! The love in the room was palpable," she wrote. "Wowwwwwww is the best way to describe it," Nash-Betts continued, adding that from start to finish "no detail was spared!"

A few weeks later, while appearing as a guest on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" — which was hosted by Colman Domingo at the time — she revealed even more. Firstly, Nash-Betts explained that no one knew she was attending the ceremony because it was so confidential. "[Y]ou're under embargo. It was a top secret. You couldn't tell anybody," she said, noting that even on the day, guests had to "zip the lip." To that end, the "All's Fair" star disclosed that they had to lock their phones away. "They put it in a glass case. It was crazy."

Away from the distraction of their cellphones, Nash-Betts revealed guests were kept occupied with plenty of entertainment at Madison Square Garden. "They had a lot of games," she said, explaining that the games worked on a raffle system with prizes guests could win. "That part was lovely," she note

Ultimately, there were lots of post-wedding hangovers

Best man Jason Kelce wasn't the only wedding guest of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce to drink a lot of alcohol (read: "way over" 15 beers). As it turns out, a number of celebrity attendees confirmed or, at least alluded to, suffering from a hangover the following day. In a now-expired Instagram Story (via The Sun), radio host Greg James said he was "currently experiencing the world's greatest hangover." For that, he thanked the "unbelievably brilliant night" he'd had, before admitting he was "off for a nap."

Similarly, Suki Waterhouse, who previously told Variety she would be attending the wedding, hinted that she had a sore head via an Instagram Story (seen by the BBC) posted the next day. "I often work best with a hangover because my mind is crackling with energy and I can think very clearly," she wrote, quoting artist Francis Bacon.

Like James and Waterhouse, singer Maren Morris, who (per the BBC) shared several videos to her Instagram Story on the way to the event, followed these up with an image on Sunday. In the relatable snap, Morris sat under a blanket on a plane while wearing dark sunglasses. "24 hours of chaos and now I can sleep," she wrote over the photo. To be honest, all of that — that being: hectic hangovers — sounds pretty fitting, given that the groom himself referred to the celebrations as a "crazy night."
