Sullivan's Crossing Star Morgan Kohan Has An Age Gap Relationship Under Her Belt

When TV shows have a lot of romantic drama, it's hard not to be curious about the love lives of the cast. In "Sullivan's Crossing," neurosurgeon Maggie Sullivan, played by the gorgeous Morgan Kohan, has her hands full in the love department. Maggie goes back to her native Nova Scotia after legal troubles at work in Boston, only to deal with love triangles involving her dad's assistant Cal Jones, played by former "One Tree Hill" star Chad Michael Murray.

Kohan's love life obviously isn't the same as her character, and her only public relationship was an age gap romance. Kohan reportedly dated fellow Canadian actor Drew Nelson from 2016 to 2021. The former couple had a 14-year difference as Nelson was born in August 1979, and Kohan was born in December 1993. Kohan previously starred in "When Hope Calls," and her then-boyfriend appeared in three episodes of the show in 2019, while she was still on it. That same year, they both acted in a horror movie, and a couple years later, they co-starred in two romance movies, all before she starred in "Sullivan's Crossing."

Kohan and Nelson posted each other on their Instagram pages when they were together, and she even wrote an introduction in his profile by the Toronto Guardian. Although falling in love with a co-star sounds sweet, both parties in the couple were seemingly done speaking about each other publicly by 2022, after their reported breakup.

It's not completely unusual for celebrity couples to have a big age gap, but Morgan Kohan's low-profile love life makes the details of her relationship with Drew Nelson more interesting. Her actor ex-boyfriend has projects that might ring a bell more than his name, such as "Total Drama," Guillermo Del Toro's "The Strain," and "Reacher." The Canadian talent is also a screenwriter and runs a video audition recording studio in Toronto called HomeBase Tapes. Although Nelson has a stunning resume, his relationship with Kohan seemed bound by passion and admiration rather than prestige.

Kohan gushed about him in the introduction of his 2021 Toronto Guardian profile. She credited Nelson's "curiosity, imagination and fearlessness" for his roles with award-winning directors and producers. "Despite all his impressive accolades he's just a big kid at heart with a great sense of humor and a deep passion for the career he's chosen," Kohan wrote. "You know him as Drew the actor, I know him as Dingo the lovable dork." He matched Kohan's affection in the captions of the photos he provided to the Toronto Guardian. Under a black-and-white photo of Kohan hugging him from the back, Nelson wrote, "Two things I can't get enough of — her and pizza." The following image showed the couple on the set of their movie "A Whirlwind Wedding," under which Nelson called his then-girlfriend his "talented co-star."
