Born 56 Years Ago Today, This Spitfire Libra Has One Of The Buzziest Hollywood Marriages

Happy birthday to none other than Kelly Ripa! The "Live with Kelly and Mark" host is sure to get plenty of birthday shoutouts in honor of turning 56. Yet, it's safe to assume her hubby and co-host Mark Consuelos will be spoiling her the most on her big day. After all, they have one of the buzziest marriages in Hollywood.

Just months before Ripa's 56th birthday on October 2, she and Consuelos celebrated a whopping 30 years of marriage. Since then, they've welcomed three children. And they returned to their roots as co-stars. The couple met in 1995 when Ripa joined Consuelos for his "All My Children" screen test. Nearly three decades later, in 2023, they started sharing the screen again when Consuelos replaced Ryan Seacrest, turning "Live with Kelly and Ryan" into "Live with Kelly and Mark." Suffice it to say, most people could never be married for that long and then choose to be coworkers. 

The fact that their relationship has seemingly remained solid doesn't mean that there haven't been issues. Divorce rumors and concern over Ripa and Consuelos' TMI confessions on-air are a glaring red flag, among other questions fans have about their relationship. Interestingly, though, the secret to Ripa and Consuelos' marriage may actually have something to do with her birthday. After all, Ripa is one Libra celebrity whose personality makes so much sense. And Libras tend to be levelheaded, loyal, and selfless in relationships.

Kelly Ripa has referenced the Zodiac while hosting her talk show before. If she's a believer in astrology, it makes sense that she ended up with Mark Consuelos. As an Aries, Consuelos happens to be a great choice for Libras. According to Match, the pairing has an 83% compatibility rating. Together, Aries and Libras tend to be a fun-loving couple with a deep friendship who genuinely enjoy spending time together. So, maybe that's why they're able to live together and work together.

Interestingly, on an August 2026 episode of "Live with Kelly and Mark," Ripa was open about one reason she doesn't like being a Libra married to an Aries. "Aries is the toughest sign to travel with, period," she said, per People. She told her hubby, "You are fun on the trip, but getting to the trip, and even worse, coming home from the trip," adding, "The fun on the trip, it almost makes it all worth it." 

The fact that opposites attract means that Aries and Libra's opposite spots on the zodiac are a good sign most of the time. Apparently, when it comes to travel, though, being so different can lead to conflict. Still, it's clear that this pair is a great match. "We fought for our marriage when it would have been easier to quit and throw in the towel," Ripa told People in 2022. It seems that they're still doing just that.
