13 Things You Need To Know About Chase Chrisley

Chase Chrisley is best known as the stubborn, mischievous son of real estate mogul Todd Chrisley — the star of Chrisley Knows Best. And while Chase definitely takes after his father in many ways — sharing his sense of humor and skill in snark — the two often disagree. Fortunately, however, they're always back on good terms by the time Todd and Julie Chrisley are in bed and the credits are rolling.

As even the most casual connoisseur of reality television can attest, reality television families all have one very important thing in common: They know how to bring the drama. Unsurprisingly, the Chrisleys are no exception. This comes as a delight to fans, as every episode of the show is undeniably entertaining — which, of course, is a testament to the Chrisleys' hilarious antics and quotable quips. And as fans are well aware, Chase is particularly known for bringing the laughs — and sometimes the gasps.

Fans have watched Chase grow up in front of the camera, but there are certain things about this reality star that even the most die-hard fan might not know. Here's a list of 13 things you need to know about Chase Chrisley.

Chase Chrisley is known as the favorite of the family

Chase Chrisley isn't just popular among fans; he's popular among his own family members, as well — that is, of course, if you ask him.

If you've ever seen an episode of Chrisley Knows Best, you know that pretty much every member of the Chrisley family was seemingly born with an extra dose of sass. From patriarch Todd Chrisley, his wife Julie Chrisley, and their kids, Savannah, Chase, and Grayson — the Chrisley family definitely isn't short on attitude or wit. This is especially true in Chase's case; still, however, Chase is known as the favorite of the family — at least, according to Chase himself.

In Chase's biography on the USA Network's website, the Chrisley Knows Best star is described as, "a mini version of Todd" who "prides himself on being the favorite child." That said, in one episode of Chrisley Knows Best, Todd admitted to favoring Chase — though he claimed it was only because Savannah had moved out. However, no matter what his family might think, it's clear that Chase has enough self-love and confidence to last a lifetime.

Chase Chrisley is not exactly outdoorsy

Chase Chrisley isn't a big fan of the outdoors, as evidenced by some hilarious moments on Chrisley Knows Best

One of the funniest episodes of Chrisley Knows Best took place in Season 2, when the men of the family went on a camping trip at the bequest of Todd and Julie Chrisley's youngest son, Grayson. As USA Network noted on their website, the trip proved just how much of an indoors-y guy Chase really is — as well as his father. In fact, the episode's description calls both Todd and Chase "so city it hurts."

In a clip from the episode, viewers can see that the trio of Chrisley men didn't even sleep in a tent, but rented an RV instead. Can you say glamping, much? Hey, the great outdoors aren't for everyone — and though Chase is from the South, he's obviously a total city boy at heart. Still, to Chase's credit, he did attempt to "go off the grid" with his friend in an episode of Growing Up Chrisley – Chase's spinoff with his sister, Savannah. Needless to say, it didn't go as planned.

Chase Chrisley has pursued acting

Chase Chrisley might have been born into a wealthy family, who eventually landed a hit reality television show, but that doesn't mean the young go-getter didn't have dreams of his own.

Specifically, Chase has a pretty big dream to make it in Hollywood as an actor. In fact, Chase's acting dream was a pretty big plot point in the first season of Growing Up Chrisley – the spin-off show that premiered in 2019 featuring Chase and his sister, Savannah Chrisley.

In an interview with People, Savannah explained what fans could expect from the series, touching on her little brother's Hollywood hopes. "Chase is pursuing his dream of acting and I am taking the beauty world by storm," Savannah said. However, Chase told Us Weekly that he quickly realized his goal would be harder to achieve than he had ever imagined. was more intense. "[Acting was] what I spent the majority of my three months on," Chase told the magazine. He continued, saying, "I loved it, but it was way more work than I thought it was going to be!"

Chase Chrisley isn't a clean freak

Chase Chrisley apparently doesn't mind a mess!

As is the case with most reality show homes, the Chrisley residence always appears to be in tip-top shape on Chrisley Knows Best. That said, Chase Chrisley isn't really a clean freak. In fact, he might be the opposite — at least, according to his sister, Savannah Chrisley.

As Chase revealed to Us Weekly, his messy nature got under his sister's skin when they first moved to Los Angeles together. "Savannah got on to me more than my mom ever has," Chase said. Savannah echoed her brother's sentiment, telling the magazine, "Chase doesn't do laundry, he leaves stuff out and he has all these random people back at the house." She continued, revealing that Chase would "dirty up all of his towels," and then try and take her clean towels when he inevitably ran out of his own. According to the siblings, the situation reached a point where Savannah had to lock her door just so Chase wouldn't take her towels. Yikes! That doesn't exactly sound like the greatest living situation.

Chase Chrisley has had financial issues

Chase Chrisley might come from a wealthy family, but being worth a lot of money doesn't mean he's never had to worry about his financial situation.

If you've followed the Chrisley family at all over their years as reality stars, you probably know that they've had to deal with some pretty bad press — especially when it comes to money. In 2019, Todd and Julie Chrisley were indicted by a grand jury over financial crimes related to tax evasion, as well as other fraud-related issues, as E! News reported at the time. However, the family's financial issues didn't end there, and Chase Chrisley also found himself immersed in some money problems.

According to E! News, the Internal Revenue Service had actually filed a federal tax lien against the Chrisley son, citing an unpaid balance of $16,886.64, which he reportedly owed from the 2014 tax period. However, according to The Blast, Chase has since paid off that balance in full. Still, it couldn't have been easy for Chase to experience financial woes while simultaneously having them broadcast to the general public.

Chase Chrisley's tattoo caused drama

Chase Chrisley is kind of a troublemaker!

Understandably, a lot of parents don't necessarily love when their children get tattoos — especially when said children are younger or still live under their parents' roof. So, when Chase got a tattoo in 2016 — before he was fully moved out of Todd and Julie Chrisley's home –  his dad was not impressed.

As TMZ reported, Chase had originally gotten a tattoo on his ribs of a bible verse, — John 3:16, to be exact. And even though it was a Christian tattoo his father was livid. In fact, according to the publication, Todd was so annoyed with his son for getting the tattoo that he actually offered to buy him a Range Rover in exchange for Chase getting the tattoo removed. Chase took his father up on the offer, but as he told the Daily Mail, there was a more meaningful reason behind his decision. "The reason I got it taken off is I saw how disappointed my parents were, and I was just like 'you know what, if it will make them happy, I'll get it taken off,'" he revealed.

Chase Chrisley has a special bond with his grandma

Chase Chrisley is a total grandma's boy!

One of the sweetest parts of Chrisley Knows Best is seeing the relationship that Chase Chrisley has with his grandma Nanny Faye. Faye, who is Todd's mother, is quite the character by herself — but when she and Chase get together, the two totally wreak havoc on their other family members (and get a good laugh for themselves).

Their special relationship holds up offscreen, too. In September 2019, Chase took to Instagram to wish Faye a happy birthday, and his message was seriously heartwarming. "Happy birthday to this beautiful soul," Chase wrote. He continued, writing, " I love you so much and can't wait to get into more s*** with you!" Months later, in 2020, Chase posted another sweet photo of featuring himself and Nanny Faye, captioning the snap, "Missing my partner in crime right about now." While Chase is all grown up now, this Chrisley kid knows he'll never be too old to just want to spend a day with Nanny Faye. Sweet!

Growing up in front of a camera taught Chase Chrisley valuable lessons

Chase Chrisley has grown up in front of the camera — and he's learned some invaluable lessons while doing so.

Chrisley Knows Best first premiered in 2014, meaning the Chrisley family has spent a solid chunk of their lives allowing cameras to have a peek behind-the-scenes. For Chase, who was in his early teens when the show first aired, Chrisley Knows Best definitely changed his life. However, the show also altered how he experienced his teenage years.

As Chase revealed to People in a July 2020 interview, "It definitely changed our lives entirely. He continued, telling the publication, "It forced us to grow up fast." Added Chase, "I know I've made my fair share of mistakes, and learning how to bounce back and just grow from each mistake, it's a little bit different because every time we screw up it's in the public eye."

Chase Chrisley has had his fair share of romantic relationships

Though Chase Chrisley is just like any other young person trying to find their way in the world, there are some things he doesn't need any help with. Specifically, it seems Chase knows his way around the romance department.

Like plenty of his peers, Chase seemingly always has a girlfriend. In July 2020, he made his relationship with Emmy Medders social media official via a sweet post to his Instagram page featuring a simple caption of a simple heart emoji. However, that was far from Chase's only public relationship. The reality star has actually had quite a few relationships that he's shared with his fans — and, of course, he's experienced his fair share of relationship drama.

Reportedly, Chase had publicly dated three women before making his relationship with Medders Instagram official (via Life and Style). First, there was Brooke Noury — who Todd Chrisley totally did not approve of, according to Country Living. So, when Chase got together with his next girlfriend, Lindsey Merrick, it's safe to say Todd was happy. However, things with Merrick didn't work out, and Chase soon started dating Kayla Puzas. Talk about a ladies' man!

Chase Chrisley isn't afraid of taking a risk to earn some cash

Chase Chrisley may know how to spend money a little too well — but he apparently also knows how to get creative when trying to earn some cash.

Considering both Todd and Julie Chrisley come from low-income backgrounds, it's safe to say Chase has learned a thing or two about how hard work is the key to success. However, in the fourth season of Chrisley Knows Best, came pretty close to doing something he might have regretted in the long haul when he considered donating sperm for cash.

In a blog on USA Network's website, Todd hilariously ranted about his son's antics, writing, "Now, if we could just get Chase to live in a big plastic bubble, then we wouldn't have to worry about him making sperm donations all over town!" He continued, revealing he understood his son's desire to earn some dough. "Listen, I appreciate Chase's desire to make some money for his grown self (and we all know where his expensive taste comes from), but not like that," Todd wrote. He continued, explaining, "I don't even want to think about what kind of liability that would cause."

Chase Chrisley loves life in California

Chase Chrisley might be a Georgia guy, but sunny California has his heart.

Fans of Chrisley Knows Best were ecstatic when Chase and Savannah Chrisley launched their own spinoff reality series, Growing Up Chrisley. The first season of the show, which premiered in 2019, followed the two siblings as they made their way to California to pursue their individual dreams. However, it was clear from the show — and from Chase himself — that living in California for the long haul was something he could totally get behind.

In an interview with UPI, Chase said that he was ready to make California his forever home. "I would live out in L.A. and never move anywhere else," he explained. Chase continued, adding, "Savannah, on the other hand, got homesick about three days into it." So, while it seems Savannah might not be made for L.A. life, Chase certainly feels a California calling — especially when it comes to the Hollywood nightlife! In an interview with Access Live, Savannah revealed, "Chase loves the scene, [and] I like staying at home watching Law & Order." Hey, it's always good to have some balance!

Chase Chrisley and Savannah Chrisley are super close

Chase Chrisley has a built-in best friend in his big sister, Savannah Chrisley.

While most of the Chrisley family seem pretty close, both onscreen and in real life, Savannah and Chase seem to share a particularly special connection. Whether it's due to starring on a reality show together for so many of their formative years, or the fact they were born only a year apart — the two certainly appear to be best friends.

And as best friends do, Chase and Savannah lean on each other and support each other during hard times. According to Yahoo!, shortly after Todd and Julie Chrisley were indicted on charges of fraud, Savannah posted a sweet photo with Chase to show who she had as a support system during her family's very public, very trying time. "I don't need a superhero ... I have a big brother," Savannah captioned the photo. Additionally, as E! News reported, one episode of Chrisley Knows Best saw Savannah tell Chase about her decision to call off her wedding to Nic Kerdiles before she even told her own father! Obviously, Chase and Savannah are the true dynamic duo of the series.

Chase Chrisley launched a surprising new business

Though Chase Chrisley has been incredibly wealthy for the majority of his life (thanks to his parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley), the Chrisley Knows Best star still seems to want to make it on his own.

In fact, his desire to make his own way in life led to Chase launching a candle business in 2018 (via Monsters and Critics). The reality star teased his new company in a 2018 tweet following an episode of Chrisley Knows Best, writing, " Everyone knows I love candles! Candles by Chrisley on the way!" However, Candles by Chrisley ultimately wasn't chosen as the final name for the product.

In a clip from Growing Up Chrisley, Chase can be seen showing off his new product to his sister, along with its new name. In the scene, Chase's candles sport a classy looking "C" motif logo, as well as a label that reads, "The Chrisley Collection." Savannah is visibly impressed with the product, complimenting her brother on the look of the candles — much to his delight. "This is what I wanted to do in the first place," he replies. We're happy Chase found his candle calling!
