The Best Dressed Stars At The 2020 People's Choice Awards

From movies, to TV, to music, the People's Choice Awards is a chance for us to see our favorite stars. Of course, we totally care about who wins what, like the Best Movie of 2020, but let's get real — we kinda care equally about what each celebrity wears. Billed as the biggest night in pop culture by E!, the stars to watch were Demi Lovato, who hosted the telecast, and icon award recipients Jennifer Lopez and Tracee Ellis Ross. But of course these weren't the only stars who wore attention-grabbing ensembles at tonight's affair. 

Everything from sleek brown pantsuits to dazzling orange jumpsuits to structural red dresses could be seen on the red carpet. Check out the following shortlist of our favorite outfits from the night. The following ladies' looks had us buzzing pre-show for a reason — even in 2020, the year of the pandemic, they totally delivered in the fashion department.

Of course host Demi Lovato didn't disappoint. The recently single star showed up on the People's Choice Awards red carpet in a dramatic, bold, sparkly jumpsuit and glam and glowy orange-toned makeup to match. And that hair! Her dark, silky tresses completely popped against the orange sequins. The singer looked flawless and she exuded confidence. All we can say is, we are happy for her — and her stylist — because this look was a major success.

Up for an icon award at tonight's PCAs, Lopez showed up looking as fierce as ever. Her bold dress was dreamt up by Christian Siriano, and while the shape was daring — it was nothing Lopez couldn't handle. The ensemble featured a voluminous, puffed skirt with a matching red cape. Aside from the show-stopping dress, the multi-hyphenate paired her look with statement earrings, a matching red lipstick, and a waterfall of silky curls.

Honored with a Fashion Icon award, Tracee Ellis Ross proved she more than deserved the accolade. Before she even made her red carpet appearance, she shared a picture on Instagram, gleaming in a lilac-colored sequined jumpsuit, with feathers in her hair and dusty pink pumps to announce her nomination. For the awards show, she rocked up in a brown pantsuit — one of the most impressive looks of the evening. The suit had a fabulous silhouette and was adorned with golden buttons, which played beautifully against her statement earrings. She also chose sharp, pointed-toe heels that peeped out beneath her flared pants.

Jameela Jamil's fans love her for keeping things real, and the star's People's Choice Awards look was no exception. In a video posted to Instagram, The Good Place actress shared she got dressed in the car on the way to the show to keep her hot pink tuxedo from creasing. Well, her creative approach worked because she looked definitively wrinkle free to us! Oh, and we loved your sparkly eye makeup, too, Jamil!
