The Truth About LeAnn Rimes' Tattoos

LeAnn Rimes has been in the public eye for decades. After making her debut on the country music scene in her teens, she has truly grown up before our eyes. From the 14-year-old with the big country hair to the twice-married 38-year-old stepmother of two she is today, Rimes has been through a lot.

Part of growing up has also included exploring lifestyle choices that appeal to her. Rimes has a small collection of tattoos that she appears to be open to expanding — and she has definitely been open to discussing her ink with fans around the world.

In January 2012, Rimes shared a photo of a new tattoo on her Twitter account. She chose to have the words "the only one that matters" tattooed on her foot in a swirly script, explaining in the thread that the words were "a little something [my husband] said on our vacation," and she chose the font because "It's dainty. All of my tattoos are very feminine." But, of course, that is not Rimes' only tattoo.

It turns out LeAnn Rimes has even more tattoos

Fans reacted warmly to LeAnn Rimes' foot tattoo, but another tattoo that Rimes got in June 2019 seemed to make quite a few people angry. The singer shared on Instagram that she had the words "god's work" tattooed on her left arm, right below her elbow. While many praised the tattoo on the post, noting that the tattoo was "beautiful," some were angry for one big reason: the entire tattoo was written in lowercase. One follower noted that they believed the word "god" should be capitalized. "I luv it but God is GOD! God should have a capital G."

Rimes also has an "E" tattooed on her ring finger, which matches the "L" tattoo that her husband, actor Eddie Cibrian, has on his own. The pair got married in April 2011 and appear to be going strong as they approach their 10th anniversary in 2021.

In 2011, Rimes told Pride Source that their home with Cibrian's children is a happy home. "The kids are our main priority, and we have a house full of love and I have a great relationship with them." Like her tattoos, we hope their love lasts a lifetime.
