Billie Eilish Is Completely Unrecognizable With Her New Hair Color
Billie Eilish is known for her bold fashion choices and beauty statements; it's obvious that the teen singing sensation can pull off any look. Whether it's her signature black hair with neon green highlights or a head-to-toe Gucci outfit — like the stunning ensemble she wore to the Grammys on March 14, where she took home two awards — Eilish is about as fashion-forward as they come!
On the heels of her incredible performance outside of the Staples Center in Los Angeles for the 2021 Grammy Awards, hosted a small group of Grammy nominees, the 19-year-old "Everything I Wanted" songstress decided to switch up her look, and fans everywhere can't get enough of her shocking makeover.
Eilish took to Instagram on March 17 — aka St. Patrick's Day — to reveal her transformation to her nearly 78 million followers. "Pinch me," she ironically captioned the picture, in which she shows off her new platinum blonde locks — her signature neon green roots nowhere in sight.
Billie's new hair caused quite a stir on social media
Billie Eilish's Instagram post garnered over 11 million likes at the time this article was published as celebs, friends, and fans everywhere couldn't stop gushing about the "Therefore I Am" singer's new blonde 'do. "I'm in love this is amazing [heart eyes] she can honestly rock any color or any hair cut," one fan on Instagram wrote, while another said, "HELP YOU'RE SO GORGEOUS IT HURTS."
While Eilish's sudden makeover may seem out of the blue, she's actually talked about changing her hair before, and specifically said she'd do so once her documentary, Billie Eilish: The World's A Little Blurry, came out. "I'm changing it after the doc comes out ... It'll be the end of an era," she said (via Allure) in an Instagram Story in Dec. 2020, before adding, "I'ma give you a new era."
It's obvious that Eilish kept her word, seeing as her doc came out on Feb. 26 on Apple+ and she debuted her new 'do less than a month after the film's release.
While there's no arguing that Billie Eilish looks amazing with any hair color, it's safe to say that everyone can't wait to see what this "new era" is all about.
