Here's How Much Maddie & Tae Are Really Worth
In 2014, country music duo Maddie & Tae – composed of Madison Marlow and Taylor Dye – released their debut single, "Girl in a Country Song," which criticized the way their male counterparts objectified women in their songs. From that point on, the pair enjoyed many chart-topping successes.
The pair first met in 2010 while attending vocal lessons from the same coach, and from there, embarked upon a friendship that eventually led to a successful musical collaboration and partnership (per Teen Vogue). As of writing, Maddie & Tae have released two albums, Start Here and The Way It Feels, both of which have received critical and commercial success.
While not much has been released about the duo's financial success, Billboard reports, according to Nielsen Music, that the duo's debut album Start Here sold 24,000 copies during the first week of its premiere in September of 2015. However, after the initial success of this album, Maddie & Tae faced a major setback when their record label, Dot Records, was retired by its parent company, Big Machine Records. Thankfully, they were signed by Mercury Nashville record label in 2018 and were able to create more country music anthems (per Billboard).
Maddie & Tae are worth less than you might think
Despite the commercial success of their music and international tours with country music giants like Carrie Underwood, Dierks Bentley, and Brad Paisley, Maddie & Tae have not yet accumulated a net worth as staggering as you might think.
According to Fact Celeb, 25-year-old Madison Marlow is worth approximately $1 million, while Taylor Dye has an approximate net worth of $700,000, according to Biography Mask. Apart from musical endeavors, Maddie & Tae have also launched other side projects, like their fall 2016 collection for Bloomingdale, called Aqua x Maddie & Tae (per Taste of Country).
In March 2021, the duo was named Artist Ambassadors for the CMA Foundation, which is the Country Music Association's philanthropic side project. As Artist Ambassadors, Marlow and Dye will be virtually visiting music classes to discuss the challenges women face in the country music industry. "Music has always been incredibly special to us," Dye told CelebrityAccess. "Not only for the enjoyment of listening and creating, but for the healing and connection it brings to so many. We feel honored to be the new CMA Foundation ambassadors and look forward to chatting about our favorite thing in the whole world!"
