The Bachelor Alum Bennett Jordan Wants To Date
Bachelor Nation hunk Bennett Jordan has eyes on someone new, and he can't help but share it with the world. In case you've forgotten his love story, Jordan was on drama-full Season 23 of "The Bachelorette" that began with Clare Crawley, who was swiftly replaced by Tayshia Adams. While Jordan didn't end up stealing Adams' heart in the end, he did make it all the way to the top six men (via Parade). Despite his tough guy, confident persona, Jordan confessed that he struggled greatly with being eliminated by Adams, calling it "really, really tough", per Entertainment Tonight.
But despite the heartbreak, Jordan is finally moving on and has even admitted that he has a crush on someone new — and if you're a fan of the Bachelor Nation, it's probably someone you already know. According to the "Almost Famous" podcast, led by Bachelor alums Ben Higgins and Ashley Iaconetti, Jordan's got his eyes on Kelley Flanagan (via iHeartRadio).
Jordan had to ask this former Bachelor star for his permission to pursue his new crush
On the podcast, which aired Monday, April 19, Jordan admitted being "certainly quite interested" in Flanagan (via Instagram). But she's not just anyone — she's former Bachelor star Peter Weber's ex-girlfriend. For a recap, Weber was Season 15's Bachelor, which ended in Webster proposing not to Flanagan — who was eliminated several weeks prior — but instead to contestant Hannah Ann Sluss. But things didn't work out between them, and they ultimately broke off the engagement (via Us Weekly). According to sources, it wasn't until Weber bumped into Flanagan at the 2020 Super Bowl in Miami that the two rekindled their relationship and ended up together — but alas, this didn't last, and the two broke things off (via Us Weekly). But now Flanagan is allegedly single and ready to mingle.
But don't worry, there's no breaking of bro-code here. According to the "Almost Famous" interview, Jordan spoke with Weber about possibly pursuing Flanagan before doing so. "I actually met Peter and after about the second or third tequila shot, I just threw it out there and said, 'I'd like to address the elephant in the room. Is it awkward that I have interest in flirting with your ex?'" Jordan asked. "We talked about it. He said, 'That's not the case at all. She's someone that I really care about and always will.' But, I mean, he technically gave his blessing and said, 'By all means, seems like you're a great guy, I really appreciate you asking'" (via People).
Here's what Jordan loves about love interest Kelley Flanagan
So what is it about Flanagan that this hunky Harvard grad can't get enough of? According to Jordan, she very easily caught his attention. "She's obviously a very, very smart girl. She's very well-spoken. I think our journeys and the way that it sort of played out on TV are quite similar." He added that the two have connected via their similar experiences within the Bachelor Nation.
"That was something that she identified with me very early on," he revealed, and teased that they have even been chatting on Instagram. "I don't want to put her on blast or anything but I think there's a lot of good, similar overlap. And, potentially mutual interest that could be worth exploring" (via Yahoo! Entertainment).
As for Flanagan, we aren't sure what her current relationship status is, but some sources believe her to be dating someone. In fact, according to a source at E! News, Flagagan had to turn down an invitation to be on "Bachelor in Paradise" due to a new relationship, but nothing has been officially confirmed.
Only time will tell if these two potentially kindred spirits are meant to be. But in the meantime, "We'll see how things kind of pan out," as Jordan said (via Yahoo! Entertainment).
