Inside Kristin Cavallari's Relationship With Brody Jenner

In case you missed it, Kristin Cavallari and Brody Jenner's relationship on "The Hills" was entirely fake.

As Cavallari admitted on Bethenny Frankel's talk show in 2012, via E! News, during her time on both "Laguna Beach" and "The Hills," she faked all sorts of things. "Laguna Beach, they really just manipulated situations and put us in situations that we normally wouldn't have been in, or we'd have to film something that maybe happened a month ago or hasn't happened yet—stuff like that," she revealed. "When I decided to join The Hills, I knew exactly what I was getting into, I knew exactly the character they wanted me to be, so I said, 'Listen, I'm game. What do you want me to do?'"

But that doesn't mean Cavallari and Jenner weren't ever a couple in real life. It just so happened to happen when neither of them where on TV.

Kristin and Brody remained good friends after their break up

As the "Very Cavallari" star revealed on "Bethenny," "I dated Brody when I was 18, right after Laguna Beach, actually, and that's it. And then on the show, on 'The Hills,' they had us 'dating' for a few episodes."

But according to People, their real-life relationship only lasted about a year from 2005 to 2006. The reason for their break up? Supposedly, work was taking up way too much of Cavallari's time and she wasn't able to prioritize their relationship. "Yes, Brody and I broke up," the reality star told People at the time.

"It's just hard right now because I am working all the time," she explained, before adding, "We're still good friends though." In fact, per Bustle, Brodie even gave Kirsten a heads up when he was got married to his now ex Kaitlynn Carter almost 10 years later, just so she wouldn't be caught off guard. "I love Brody, and she's so sweet," Kirsten told Entertainment Tonight in 2016, proving there were no bad feelings. "I'm really, really happy for them."
