Why Halsey's Latest Pregnancy Update Has BTS Fans Excited

Over the last few months, singer-songwriter Halsey has been sharing all of her pregnancy must-haves with her followers on Instagram. The "Be Kind" singer is expecting her first child with her boyfriend Alev Aydin. According to People, the pair have kept their relationship pretty private but Halsey has been bringing her fans with her on her pregnancy journey. And this is why Halsey's latest pregnancy update has BTS fans excited. Capital FM explains that she's been a fan for a while and her baby may be following suit.

Fans will know that Halsey collaborated on "Boy With Luv" in 2019, but her relationship with the K-pop group existed long before they released music together. Metro reported that they've been close for years and have massive mutual respect for each other's music. When Halsey was named one of Time's 100 Most Influential People 2020, it was BTS who wrote the message under her award. "Her bold spirit really shines through her music and performances, as well as her life. And that spirit and passion have been instilled in us and inspired artistic ambitions of our own," they said. "Knowing her music, the decision to collaborate with her on our single 'Boy With Luv' was one of the easiest calls we've ever had to make. It just had to be her."

And it'd seem that, just as BTS holds Halsey in high esteem, her baby is already a big fan of theirs.

Halsey's baby is already enjoying BTS collabs

Over their career, BTS has released some seriously cool merchandise and collaborations, which Halsey seems to appreciate. On June 15, Halsey posted an Instagram Story (via Twitter) to prove she's introducing her baby to the K-pop sensations early. Sharing a picture of BTS's highly coveted meal with McDonald's, Halsey wrote, "baby is army." McDonald's outlines that the limited run BTS Meal includes 10 Chicken McNuggets, medium fries, a medium Coke, and two new dipping sauces — Sweet Chili and Cajun.

The BTS fandom was loving that Halsey and the new baby were showing support for BTS. One tweeted, "Oooh, @halsey with the BTS meal...for baby, ofc. Still the cutest @BTS_twt friendship after all these years." Another tweeted, "The day we get a picture with BTS and the baby."

Halsey's love for BTS could also be seen in 2019, when they were honored by Time as one of their 100 Most Influential People of the year and she was the one to write praise for them. She wrote, "with positive messages of self-confidence, intricacies of philosophy hidden in their sparkly songs, true synergy and brotherhood in every step of their elaborate choreography, and countless charitable and anthropological endeavors, BTS have put their 14 best feet forward as role models to millions of adoring fans and anyone else who finds themselves drawn to BTS's undeniable allure."

It's a true friendship.
