Selling Sunset Season 4 - Here's What We Can Tell Fans So Far

Netflix's "Selling Sunset" hit many of our radars at the most optimum time, when the COVID-19 pandemic was raging. All streaming options had been exhausted, and most of us just wanted something easy to watch. Combining the most binge-worthy elements of fellow hit reality shows "Million Dollar Listing" and "Vanderpump Rules," the show follows a group of ambitious female real estate agents as they live, love, fight, and sell high-priced properties in the greater Los Angeles area.

From acid-tongued queen bee Christine Quinn to shy newcomer Chrishell Stause, not to mention their long-running feud, "Selling Sunset" certainly doesn't hurt for big, compelling characters. As Cosmopolitan noted, the show proved particularly irresistible because Netflix dropped Season 2 and Season 3 just a few months apart. Unfortunately, that has made the wait for new episodes interminable but finally, with COVID-19 restrictions easing, the end is in sight. Here's everything we know so far about "Selling Sunset" Season 4.

When is Selling Sunset Season 4 dropping on Netflix?

According to Us Weekly, shooting on the highly-anticipated fourth season of "Selling Sunset" began in May 2021. Heather Rae Young marked the big moment with a series of selfies featuring cast-mates including Chrishell Stause and Mary Fitzgerald (via Instagram), enthusing, "Me & my GIRLS, back like we never left." We don't know when to expect new episodes just yet, but Stause advised they should be out before the year is up. According to a production source who spoke to TMZ, filming was right on schedule too. Fitzgerald, meanwhile, promised in her own Instagram post, "Season 4 & 5 coming to you so so sooooon!!!"

Does that mean that multiple seasons will be released just a few months apart, like Seasons 2 and 3? We can only hope. Moreover, Fitzgerald informed the RadioTimes, "We film for probably four or five months for each season and then there's a couple of months for editing and then you guys would probably see it in about six months." Netflix confirmed "Selling Sunset" was returning all the way back in March 2021 on Twitter, so the least they could do is give us two seasons back to back.

Who is slated to return to Selling Sunset Season 4?

When it comes to the cast, "Selling Sunset" fans should expect shake ups. However, Digital Spy confirmed head honchos Jason and Brett Oppenheim will be back alongside Chrishell Stause, Christine Quinn, Mary Fitzgerald (and husband Romain Bonnet), Heather Rae Young, Amanza Smith, Maya Vander, and Davina Potratz. Although Potratz left the company and reportedly now works elsewhere, she will still appear on the show.

Meanwhile, Quinn told Glamour that Brett had branched out from the Oppenheim Group to launch his own brokerage, while Stause confirmed "some people have left" and "the brokerage has split" during an appearance on "Good Morning Britain." However, Jason subsequently clarified Brett hasn't left, so it looks like we're going to have to wait to find out the truth.

Moreover, Netflix announced a couple fresh new faces are joining the show, namely Vanessa Villela who, similar to Stause, enjoyed a previous life as a screen starlet. Entrepreneur Emma Hernan, who tantalizingly "has an interesting history with the ladies," will also be joining the show. Both women confirmed the news on social media. Stause opined in an interview with Us Weekly that the newcomers are "in different stages in their real estate [careers]," teasing that their inclusion on the show "definitely stirs the pot a little bit." Young's fiancé and fellow reality star Tarek El Moussa is also rumored to be making an appearance, as he teased in an interview with Us Weekly
