Prince Harry Shares How He Really Feels About The Queen And Prince Philip's Relationship
The royal family is opening up about Prince Philip months after his death. The Duke of Edinburgh sadly passed away at the age of 99 in April 2021. Now, his family members are paying tribute to him in a new BBC documentary special, "Prince Philip: The Royal Family Remembers" (via People). Many royals share their thoughts and feelings about Philip in the special, including his grandson Prince Harry.
Harry admits that he learned a lot about war and being in the military from Philip, who served as an active member of the military himself until Queen Elizabeth's coronation. However, it was Philip's softer side that Harry says really resonated with him. "He was very much a listener, he sort of set the scene for you to be able to share as much as you wanted to share but he would never probe," he said.
During the documentary, in addition to remembering his grandfather's impact on his life, Harry also speaks about Philip's marriage to Queen Elizabeth.

Prince Harry speaks lovingly about his grandfather in the new BBC documentary "Prince Philip: The Royal Family Remembers." In the special, the Duke of Sussex admits that one of the things he misses most about his grandfather is his sense of humor (via Us Weekly).
However, he also says that he misses Philip all the more when thinking about his marriage to Queen Elizabeth. "The two of them together were just the most adorable couple," Harry said. "To me, knowing the cheekiness of him and knowing that behind what the world sees you have two individuals who were very much in love and both, from a very young age, have dedicated their life to service — that is an incredible bond between two people." He adds: "[I] miss him more for my grandmother because I know how incredibly strong she was with him there. I also know she will be OK without him."
The documentary also shows old photos and videos from Philip and Elizabeth's life together. The couple walked down the aisle in 1947 and were married for over 73 years before Philip's death. Perhaps Harry looks to his grandparents as role models while navigating his own marriage with Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex.
