Teen Mom 2 Season 11 - Here's What We Can Tell Fans So Far

Back in 2009, a series premiered on MTV that would change the course of reality television altogether. Since its premiere, "16 and Pregnant" showcased the challenges and triumphs of young mothers. Two years after the premiere of "16 and Pregnant," the popularity of the show created a space for its first spinoff, "Teen Mom 2," according to The Cinemaholic. As its title suggests, the show follows the cast members from the second season of "16 and Pregnant." What makes "Teen Mom 2" especially interesting is that it follows original franchise cast members long after they have given birth to the child that completely changed their young lives forever. The show follows the ups and downs that these original cast members may face related to romantic partners, family members, and their children.

Apart from "Teen Mom 2," the "16 and Pregnant" franchise also consists of other spinoffs, including "Teen Mom: Young and Pregnant" and "Teen Mom OG," per The Wrap.

Looking forward to the 11th season of "Teen Mom 2?" Below, we spill a few details surrounding the upcoming season of the popular show.

When is the 11th season of Teen Mom 2 expected to drop?

Thus far, MTV has yet to announce when or if the 11th season of "Teen Mom 2" will premiere on its network. The 10th season of the show was officially released in September 2020 and consisted of 30 episodes, according to The Cinemaholic. Given the fact that the 10th season only concluded in July, it is likely that the 11th season is currently being filmed.

However, there is also a chance that "Teen Mom 2" might not be returning for another season. As The Sun reported, the show's ratings plummeted after popular cast member Chelsea Houska exited the series. After she left the show, the twentieth episode of season 10 only reported a total number of 507,000 viewers, which is decidedly a steep decline from previous viewership of the show, which was typically in the millions.

Houska, who has appeared on every season of the series since its inception, decided to not return for the show's 10th season after realizing that her daughter, Aubree, was uncomfortable speaking to her mother openly in front of the cameras. "There were conversations that Aubree and I were having from time to time, and there came a point where I was just worried because I don't want her to ever be like, she can't tell me things because it's going to be aired to millions of people or whatever," Houska told E! News.

Who will appear in the show's 10th season?

While no news has been announced regarding the cast of the show's 10th season, there are a few assumptions that can likely be made. According to Meaww, the 10th season of the show featured cast members Jade Cline, Briana DeJesus, Leah Messer, Ashley Jones, and Kailyn Lowry. Messer and Lowry are the only cast members who have been around since the very beginning of the show, so it's highly likely that they will return for the 11th season of the show. The Cinemaholic also hypothesizes that DeJesus and Cline, who were later additions to the show, will also be headed back to the show for its upcoming season. Jones replaced Houska in the show's 10th season, so there is also a chance that she will be returning.

After facing separate challenges presented by the unique circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic in the 10th season, the mothers will (as always) continue to pick up the dramatic pieces of their lives in the upcoming season.

Here's what we know about Messer's pregnancy rumors

Earlier this month, mother of three Leah Messer made her relationship with Jaylan Mobley Instagram official. "Leah and Jaylan Mobley have been dating for a few months now," an inside source told E! News. "He recently met Leah's girls and they get along great. Leah is very happy and the relationship has been a great surprise." Messer and Mobley, who previously worked for NASA, met during an ESPN project. "He's so compassionate, caring, patient, kind, thoughtful, has a great sense of humor, is adventurous, and LOVES kids. I swore he wasn't real!" Messer told Entertainment Tonight.

It seems that her relationship announcement sparked pregnancy rumors among her fans. However, in an Instagram story posted shortly after the pregnancy rumors began, Messer firmly denied that she was expecting her fourth child. "PSA I'm not pregnant just bloated!" Messer posted, along with a gif of a basketball player shaking his head to the tune of music, per The Sun.
