The Adorable Gift Selena Gomez Sent To Cardi B After The Birth Of Her New Baby

Cardi B and Offset recently became parents of two when they welcomed their newborn son in September 2021 (via Seventeen). The baby joined big sister Kulture Kiari, who is now three years old. The couple announced the birth of their son with a statement to PEOPLE. "We are so overjoyed to finally meet our son," they said in the statement. "He is already loved so much by family and friends and we can't wait to introduce him to his other siblings."

Singer and actress Selena Gomez sent a baby gift to Cardi B to mark the baby boy's birth. The two seemed to become friends when they collaborated in 2018 for DJ Snake's "Taki Taki." The "Only Murderers in the Building" actress sent over an extravagant basket for the newborn complete with some treats for the new mom. Read on to find out how Cardi B thanked Gomez for the thoughtful baby gift.

Here's how Cardi B thanked her friend

Cardi B took to her Instastory to show off the thoughtful gift Selena Gomez sent her. Pop Crave tweeted a video of the "I Like It" singer's story. In it, Cardi B shows off a cute white gift basket filled with all sorts of goodies for the newborn, including a precious blue stuffed elephant toy attached to the front. "I got this beautiful gift basket with this little bear from Selena Gomez," Cardi said as she filmed the gift. The new mom even pointed out that the "Love You Like A Love Song" singer thoughtfully included treats for her to munch on as she rocked the baby to sleep. "This is so cute. Thank you, Selena Gomez! You're so adorable," Cardi B finished with a giggle.

Cardi B has a history of supporting Gomez even when times get tough. Read on to find out what she had to say when her friend contemplated the possibility of retiring earlier in 2021.

Cardi B has supported Selena Gomez in the past

In March 2021, Selena Gomez told Vogue that she thought she might focus more on her acting and producing career than singing. "It's hard to keep doing music when people don't necessarily take you seriously," she told the magazine. "I've had moments where I've been like, 'What's the point? Why do I keep doing this?' 'Lose You to Love Me' I felt was the best song I've ever released, and for some people, it still wasn't enough."

Despite her disillusionment with music, Selena noted she might give it one more try. Cardi B stepped up to encourage her friend. "I don't think Selena should retire. She makes good music and her fans love her. I think she needs one more Era. A edgy one that no one ever seen her as. I would love to give her some ideas," Cardi tweeted. It's unclear if Selena Gomez took any of Cardi B's ideas to heart or not, but given the thoughtful baby gift, it's obvious these two remain friends.
