Gwen Stefani Revealed New Pics Of This Relationship Milestone With Blake Shelton
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are one of Hollywood's most unconventional couples. The No Doubt frontwoman and the country superstar met back in 2014 on the set of "The Voice" when Stefani joined the popular show as a coach (via Billboard). At the time, Shelton was going through a highly publicized divorce from fellow country singer Miranda Lambert, and Stefani publicly announced her separation from her husband, Gavin Rossdale, around the same time (via TMZ). Stefani and Shelton leaned on one another for support, as the "Boys 'Round Here" singer described during a 2016 interview with Billboard.
" ... she said, 'I'm going through something very similar to what you're going through. I understand. And I hate it.' That's kind of how our friendship and bond started, that day. It went from that, to checking in on each other once a week through email — 'This s*** happened to me, what happened to you?' — to maybe three times a week, then every day, to 'Hey, here's my phone number if you ever want to text,'" Shelton explained. The pair have been inseparable ever since and recently made their union official when they tied the knot in July 2021 (via People).

When Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton announced their engagement in October 2020, the couple shared some sweet snaps on their respective social media profiles (via People). At the time, Stefani posted a beautiful shot to her Instagram account of the happy couple kissing while she held up her hand to show off the engagement ring (via Instagram). She added the caption "@blakeshelton yes please! 💍🙏🏻 gx," which made the moment even more adorable.
Though the couple have never shied away from sharing photos of their personal life, they didn't post many pictures of this milestone moment. But Stefani remedied this social media hiccup by posting new photos to her Instagram account to celebrate the one-year anniversary of their engagement. In one snapshot, you can see Shelton down on one knee proposing while Stefani covers her face in disbelief. The "Just a Girl" singer then posted a brief video of her showing off her absolutely stunning engagement ring (via Page Six).
Shelton proposed to Stefani inside a church located on his Oklahoma ranch. In the newly released photos, it appears that Stefani's oldest son, Kingston, was present for the proposal. How sweet is that?
