Kris Jenner Shares Her Thoughts On Kourtney And Travis' Engagement
Moms just want to see their children happy, and Kris Jenner is no exception. So at one point, she encouraged her daughter Kourtney Kardashian to reconcile with the father of her three children, Scott Disick. "There's nothing that I would love more than to see you live your life and grow old with someone, be happy and content and peaceful. And it would always be so fabulous if it was the dad of your children," she told Kourtney during an episode of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," (via Us Weekly).
While it wasn't in the cards for Kourtney and Disick, she has happily moved on with Travis Barker. The Blink 182 drummer has known the Kardashian family for years, meeting Kim Kardashian first when she was Paris Hilton's assistant. Barker and Kourtney have frequently been seen out together throughout the years, but everything was platonic until romance sparked in late 2020. The pair then went public on Instagram on Valentine's Day 2021 and haven't been shy about sharing their PDA on social media. And Jenner couldn't be more thrilled. "Isn't it great?" she told Ryan Seacrest in an interview (via People). "I know, it's the best."
Barker made sure the Kardashians were a big part of his proposal. In fact, it appears that the event was filmed for the family's upcoming Hulu show, with photos showing a camera crew behind Jenner as she sat a table during a celebratory dinner (via The U.S. Sun).
Kris Jenner sent a special message to the happy couple
Travis Barker proposed to Kourtney Kardashian on the beach with both of their families nearby. "Travis professed his love for her and thanked her for making him a better person," a source told E! News. "It was super emotional and sentimental. Kourtney was so happy and was definitely emotional. She teared up and couldn't stop saying 'I love you.'"
Soon after, her mother, Kris Jenner, posted a special tribute to them on Instagram. "Congratulations to the most beautiful, adorable, affectionate, fabulous, made for each other couple in the world! Love you guys!!!!!!" she wrote.
It's no surprise that Jenner is supportive of her daughter's husband-to-be. A source has said that, "They are head over heels and never experienced love like this. Kourtney is the happiest. Travis adores her and treats her so well. It's very different than her other relationships and all positive," (via Brides). And while there were rumors that the two had already eloped in Las Vegas, this is Kardashian's first marriage, so a source told E! News that the couple "want to do the whole big traditional wedding ceremony and everything, and have already talked about it."
