Who wasn't excited to learn that Chrishell Stause and Jason Oppenheim of "Selling Sunset" were dating? The couple adorably confirmed their romance back in July, with the realtor and reality star making things Instagram official between her and the brokerage owner. Their relationship played out on social media for the next few months as Stause documented their romance, ranging from volunteering to just having fun together. In fact, this week Stause posted a series of photos and video from the set of season 5 of "Selling Sunset" featuring Oppenheim.
But now, People reports the couple has broken up after five months. Although Stause and Oppenheim are yet to publicly comment on the status of their relationship, People states several sources have confirmed the split.
The breakup comes as a shock to fans who have followed the couple's love story, with Oppenheim telling Page Six within the past month, "Oh, I love her, yeah." As for Stause, she said previously about their romance, "I think that that's why it works so well and our communication is very open and honest. There's no conversation that we haven't had at this point" (via Us Weekly).

This breakup comes after Stause has endured other public splits, most notably when her husband, "This Is Us" actor Justin Hartley, supposedly surprised her by filing for divorce after two years of marriage (via Women's Health). During season 3 of "Selling Sunset," the star said, "I found out because he texted me that we were filed. Forty-five minutes later, the world knew."
We watched Stause grieve the end of her marriage, and then rejoiced when she began dating "Dancing With the Stars" pro Keo Motsepe. That relationship ended, and not on great terms, with the newly single star accusing Motsepe of "lying" in a scathing social media post (via The Sun). She added about deciding to open up about the split, "Taking the high road is overrated sometimes."
Meanwhile, "Selling Sunset" fans know that Oppenheim used to date co-star Mary Fitzgerald and that the exes even share custody of dogs.
