If you want to live somewhere astrologically compatible, you'll want to start by looking into a city's own horoscope. According to Atlas Obscura, each city does coordinate with one of the 12 zodiac signs. A branch of astrology called "mundane" focuses on creating birth charts for places.
Mundane astrology, named after the Latin word for "world," has been used since at least the 2nd century, Atlas Obscura explains. Even former president Ronald Reagan even hired an astrologer to help him plan the timing of everything from press conferences to when Air Force One would take off or land.
Today, astrologist Mark Dodich explains to Atlas Obscura that "locational astrologists" create birth charts for cities by using the date they were incorporated as the city's birthdate. Once the chart for the location is created, they can compare it to their client's birth chart and see if there's an astrological match. "The term we use is synastry," Dodich explains, "which means that we can plug you into the state. It's kind of like relationship compatibility for marriage or a partnership ... how do I fit in with the energies of this other person, or this city, or this state?"
If you're a Gemini itching to move, or who hasn't felt comfortable in the city you're living in, it might be time to consult your city's horoscope. Just like with a romantic partner, if your zodiac signs aren't compatible, there could be trouble ahead for you just based on where you live.

Jessica D'Angio, owner of MsFortune Astrology, told Bustle Gemini's and Leo's are a match that usually has good results. "Air is the realm of the mind, while fire is the realm of the spirit, so this is the ultimate creative pairing," she explained. "Both of these signs are known for having childlike curiosity and artistic flair, and their collaborations are noteworthy."
Cities with Leo energy can be found everywhere. In the U.S., head to Philadelphia, Chicago, or Los Angeles for fiery inspiration (per Star Sign Style). Madrid and Rome are two international cities ruled by Leo.
