Brittany Cartwright's Throwback Photos Prove Baby Cruz Is His Mom's Mini-Me
Former "Vanderpump Rules" stars Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor welcomed their son Cruz Michael Cauci on April 12, 2021, per a sweet Instagram post shared by the excited new mom. "Our lives changed forever in the absolute best way possible," she wrote, gushing, "we have never been more in love." Reformed bad boy Taylor shared similar sentiments in his own post, admitting he'd never been happier in his life, and suddenly understood what was truly important.
The happy couple tied the knot in June 2019, with their glamorous Kentucky nuptials featured on "Vanderpump Rules," before confirming with People in September 2020 that they were expecting their first child after trying for a few months. Cartwright took the process very seriously, sharing that she and Taylor were very eager to start their family. As Us Weekly notes, ever since welcoming their little bundle of joy, the former reality stars have been keeping fans updated on Cruz's journey.
Cartwright's latest posts, though, showcase how she and her son are essentially twins.
The resemblance between Cruz and his mother is uncanny
In honor of her own mother's birthday, in March 2022, Brittany Cartwright posted a number of shots to Instagram of the duo throughout the years, including a couple featuring herself as a blonde baby. Compared to several shots Cartwright recently shared of baby Cruz, the little boy takes after his mom even more than his dad, Jax Taylor. Fans noticed the resemblance too, with one writing, "Oh wow! I didn't realize how much Cruz's nose looks like yours until these baby pics! So cute!"
Likewise, several commenters pointed out Sherri Cartwright's resemblance to Marie Osmond in her younger years. E! News reported that, early on, Cruz was sporting a full head of dark hair, so he looked a lot more like his father than his mother, but Cruz has recently gone full California blond. Considering how often the proud parents post photos of him, the change doesn't seem to have caused any kind of rivalry between Cartwright and Taylor, but only time will tell. Maybe Cruz will become more of a mini-Jax as he gets older?

The couple, who have had some challenging times over the years, as "Vanderpump Rules" fans will be aware, got closer while Brittany Cartwright was expecting, with the former reality star informing E! News that Taylor had fully risen to the challenge by helping out with the household chores and doting on Cartwright whenever she felt ill. "Jax has really stepped it up and has been an amazing support," she said at the time.
Moreover, a source close to the couple subsequently told Us Weekly that welcoming Cruz had only strengthened their relationship further, with the devoted parents doing better than ever. Cartwright and Taylor exited "Vanderpump Rules" in December 2020, and have been focused on their family ever since. As for whether baby Cruz had watched them on the show, Jax Taylor told Us Weekly they'd cross that bridge when they come to it.
"I don't think we're going to have a choice [whether he watches it or not] because of the internet," he explained. Still, Taylor acknowledged, "He's not going to be a huge fan of me."
