Following the public outing, fans were eager for news on the actor's maybe-boyfriend, but Sweeney has continued to keep her relationship under wraps. In 2022, the Daily Mail published pictures of the couple in Hawaii, where Sweeney was on-location filming "The White Lotus." The outlet's images showed them frolicking in the ocean and packing on the PDA.
Not much is known about Davino, as he doesn't appear to have a social media presence, nor a LinkedIn account. Cosmopolitan Australia reports that Sweeney's longtime beau is a 37-year-old restaurateur who hails from Chicago. His family owns Pompei, an Italian restaurant that advertises itself as the "best Italian on Taylor Street." Though Sweeney has not spoken much about Davino, she did allude to potentially settling down in Chicago one day, per a 2019 interview with Elite Daily. When asked by the interviewer who she knew in the Windy City, Sweeney replied coyly, "A friend." "I would love to share my normal life so that people can see that it's not all glamour. But I can't because one, I like my privacy, and two, social media is another platform for business," she told the outlet. "Sharing my life on it could go against the integrity of the business and brand I'm trying to create."
