The Real Reason Tarek El Moussa Is So Proud Of His Family
While "Flip or Flop" star Tarek El Moussa may have made a name for himself as one of the best house flippers on the market, he shines the brightest when he's among his family.
During El Moussa's exclusive interview with The List, the 40-year-old gushed about his love for his wife, "Selling Sunset" star Heather Rae Young. "Two years ago she became bonus mom. She's turning into stepmom," he said. "The kids adore her. She takes care of them like they're her own. I just couldn't be happier. I mean, as a father, I just found the perfect person for our family."
El Moussa, who was previously married to his HGTV co-star Christina Haack, also told us that his kids, Taylor and Brayden, are his top priority.
"My kids are my everything," he said. "I would never do anything to hurt my children. It doesn't matter how hard it is. It doesn't matter how much it hurts me. I will never hurt my babies."
This sentiment is echoed all over the California native's Instagram account. While his page is filled with photos of his family — accompanied by sweet captions expressing his adoration for Heather, Taylor, and Brayden — his recent posts are even more revealing.
Tarek El Moussa's kids are his top priority
After spending the day with his son, Brayden, and wife, Heather Rae Young, in Newport Beach, California, Tarek El Moussa took to Instagram to share a sweet photo of the 6-year-old and a heartfelt message. He raved about his son's busy schedule, which includes school Jiu-Jitsu, soccer, and tutoring.
"I can't tell you all how proud I am of my little guy!! He's thriving in life, more than ever, and it's because of hard work," he wrote.
A week later, El Moussa returned to social media to sing the praises of his 11-year-old daughter, Taylor, including her big-sister skills, strong work ethic, and killer soccer moves.
The "Flipping 101" star then explained that spending time with his wife and kids is always the highlight of his day. "I cherish every single minute, and want to make sure that my NUMBER ONE priority is always being there for my kids 100% of the time, and Heather is always right there with me," he said.
El Moussa wrapped up his earnest post by writing, "Proud of our family! I am so blessed."
