Britney Spears' Latest Message About Her Future Has Fans Scratching Their Heads

Fans know when Britney Spears has news to share, she always goes to Instagram. In her latest Instagram post, Britney Spears posted a cup of tea in a pink mug, on a pink plate, with pink carnations surrounding it.

Long-time followers of Spears know this type of photo isn't her usual aesthetic, especially now that she has control of her life back. In November 2021, a judge ordered the end of a fourteen year conservatorship. This had everything, from medical decisions to financial, in the hands of her father, Jamie Spears.

The decisions Britney's father made for her included deciding she could get married or have more children. The New York Times reported in June 2021 that Britney gave testimony to the fact that she was not allowed to get her IUD removed. "I was told right now in the conservatorship I am not able to get married or have a baby," she said, explaining how the team wouldn't let her make a doctor's appointment because they didn't want her having any more children. "I deserve to have the same rights as anybody does, by having a child, a family, any of those things." Britney currently has two sons from her previous marriage with Kevin Fenderline.

The conservatorship didn't give any reason, it seems, as to why they felt Britney couldn't handle deciding for herself it was the right time to start a family. Vogue reminded readers that during the time she was under the control of the conservatorship, Britney handled a multi-year Las Vegas residency just fine.

Is Britney Spears having a baby?

But since November, Britney Spears has been free to live the way she wants to. Her Instagram has shown her doing just that, with Spears sharing everything from empowering pictures of her dressed as Cher from Clueless to TikTok video of a baby moving around inside a woman's stomach, per Billboard.

Looking back at this post, we're all wondering if this was an early hint that Spears already knew what she may have shared today: that she's pregnant.

In the caption of her latest Instagram post, Spears shared a long, candid thought about pregnancy and how it's been for her in the past. "I lost so much weight to go on my Maui trip only to gain it back," she opened the caption with, adding in shrug emojis for effect. She explained how she and her husband were joking about her having a food baby, but then Spears said she did end up taking a pregnancy test, which popped up positive.

Spears shared how with her previous pregnancies, she suffered from perinatal depression, something women are often shamed for talking about. "Some people considered it dangerous if a woman complained like that with a baby inside her," Spears wrote. "But now women talk about it everyday ... thank Jesus we don't have to keep that pain a reserved proper secret."

If Spears already knew she was pregnant at the beginning of March, could the pink carnations mean we'll see a mini-Britney in the near future? We can't wait to find out.
