This Wizards Of Waverly Place Reunion That's Taking Over TikTok
It's been a decade since "Wizards of Waverly Place" aired on the Disney Channel. The sitcom revolved around the Russo family, who just so happen to be wizards living in New York City. The series starred Selena Gomez as Alex Russo, and really introduced the world to the actress. Now, Gomez is not just an actress but a singer, producer, and the founder of her own beauty brand, Rare Beauty.
You could even add TikToker to Gomez's growing list of accomplishments. The "Only Murders in the Building" star is among many celebrities who have joined the video-sharing social media app. In some of her recent TikTok videos, Gomez can be seen showing off her favorite Rare Beauty products and doing near perfect lip sync videos with her friends at home. It was actually her most recent lip sync video on TikTok that got fans of Gomez excited as it featured one of her old "Wizards of Waverly Place" castmates.
Selena Gomez and Jennifer Stone recreated an iconic moment
The nostalgia is all too real. Alex Russo and Harper Finkle — aka Selena Gomez and Jennifer Stone — are back together. The two reunited recently and it was the "Wizards of Waverly Place" reunion fans didn't know they needed. On April 24, Gomez posted an adorable video of her and Stone recreating their iconic "Crazy Hat Song" from the popular Disney Channel show on TikTok. In the series, whenever Alex and Harper would see someone wearing a hat, they would sing the song they made up that also comes with its own dance.
It seems Gomez and Stone haven't forgotten the song or dance as they can be seen lip syncing along to the song in the TikTok video. Gomez also wrote, "We had to," over the video, implying that this dance was necessary for the "Wizards" reunion. Stone also posted the same video on her TikTok page with the caption,"Reunited and it feels so good." The reunion really did feel so good for fans of the series and even other castmates. Maria Canals-Barrera, who played Gomez's mom on the show, commented on the video, "LOVE this. Love you two!"
While there was no reason given for this delightful reunion, it seems Gomez and Stone were just happy to be together again for an old friend hang. The two were also spotted with drinks in their hands while dancing, so it could just be a girls' night in that led to some TikTok videos. Either way, can we get an invite next time?
