The Bold And The Beautiful Star Karla Mosley Celebrates A Joyous Motherhood Milestone

Karla Mosley is a woman of many talents. Not just an actress, she is also a singer, activist, and most recently, a mother.

As a child, Mosley performed as part of the musical group Sugar Beats, founded by Carole King's daughter Sherry Goffin Kondor. Later, after attending NYU's Tisch School of the Arts and then the Roy Hart Vocal Institute in France, Mosley made her acting debut in 2003 as a cast member on the Australian musical children's show "Hi-5." In addition to starring on popular shows such as "Hart of Dixie" and "Angel From Hell," the actress is most recognizable for her career in daytime television. She joined the show "Guiding Light" in 2008 and portrayed the role of Christina Moore for two years. Mosley made history during her following soap project, for which she is best known, as Maya Avant on "The Bold and the Beautiful" from 2013 to 2019. Most recently, she temporarily subbed in for actress Mishael Morgan as Amanda Sinclair on "The Young and the Restless" in 2021.

Outside of acting, Mosley sits on the board of Covenant House, which is the largest privately funded agency in the U.S. that provides services to the homeless and runaway youth. She is also a celebrity ambassador for the National Eating Disorders Association and is involved in other charities, as well (via IMDb). In addition to all of the professional work that has kept the 40-year-old talent busy for the past several decades, Mosley also finds the time to be a doting mother and recently welcomed her second child into the family (via Soaps).

Karla Mosley celebrates her daughter Willa's first birthday

In 2018, Karla Mosley gave birth to her first child, a daughter named Aurora Imani, after months of hiding her baby bump on "The Bold and the Beautiful," per Soaps in Depth. Just a few years later she repeated the process again when she and her partner John Rogers welcomed their second daughter, Willa Josephine, on July 18, 2021 (via Soaps).

The actress recently took to Instagram to celebrate little Willa's first birthday. In a heartwarming post, she wrote, "One year ago today we welcomed Willa Josephine. At first she seemed uncertain about her choice to join us here on earth — she mean mugged everyone and would only smile in her sleep for the first two months. Today she is still serious, but also silly, quick witted, oh so cheeky, stays ready to co-sign a laugh, song or applause moment, has a giggle like a woodpecker, and when I say she is full of herself I mean it with the utmost honor and admiration."

Mosley also made sure to give mention to the women of color who helped deliver Willa through a water birth, whom she referred to as "magical birth workers." These ladies came from Sunflower Family Wellness, The Birthing Place, Sugar Heal Gang, Kindred Space LA, and The Victoria Project, among other organizations.

As the beloved actress reminisces on one full year with her newest bundle of joy, we want to wish Willa a happy birthday while we wait impatiently for more pictures of the little cutie!
