Carrie began her career as a pediatric oncology nurse before earning her master's degree in public health. When she became a mom in 2012, she made the transition to freelance writing to be able to work while staying home with her family. Carrie is a health, food, and lifestyle writer with experience in medical writing and recipe development. She uses her background as a nurse to communicate complex topics in a compassionate voice. Her writing has been featured in Taste of Home, Health, Reader's Digest, and Working Mother.
