Experience

Leo Edworthy is a freelance journalist and music writer who started out as a layout designer and copy editor for The Bristol Post. They have since worked as a social media specialist and engagement editor for The Mirror and have written about politics and policy as well as coverage of the BBC soap opera EastEnders' 40th anniversary. They currently freelance as a writer for the music website EARMILK, where they have interviewed K-pop bands and 1980s pop star Howard Jones, as well as written several album reviews for a mix of queer pop singers, jazz bands, and Americana/Canadiana artists. Leo can also be found writing about their intense collection of Spotify playlists on their Substack, Playlists Anonymous, where they cover everything from Asian pop music to prog rock to electronic music.

Education

Leo has a bachelor's degree in sociology from the University of Bath, as well as a master's degree in news journalism from Cardiff University.
